- Ectagono- Ectarea - The temazcal, a traditional sweat lodge utilized by various ancient cultures in Mexico like the Mexicas, Mayas, Zapotecas, Mixtecas and other indigenous groups, is typically constructed as a hut or dome made from mud, stone, wood, or branches covered with fabrics, depending on the region. Inside this structure, hot rocks are placed at the center to generate heat, and water infused with medicinal plants is poured over them to create steam that has therapeutic properties and is used for both physical and spiritual well-being. The temazcal serves as a space for purification of the body and mind, connection with nature, and honoring ancestral traditions. Revered as sacred by many indigenous communities, this practice is still use in various parts of Mexico as part of healing rituals. Huitzi, is our main shaman, originally from a small town in Oaxaca. Since moving to Mexico City a few years back, he founded Aldea Tonatzin, a place dedicated to preserving the authentic traditions of the Zapoteca culture. Presently, along with María, his friend and apprentice, they run the traditional Zapoteca temazcal with the goal of sharing the Zapoteca heritage worldwide.

A Full Moon Temazcal Ceremony - This is Truly a magical experience, everything was amazing . The People, the Energy, the Land. Maria and Huitzi are very special Humans. The Love for this tradition and ceremony is abundant. . If you are on a Spiritual journey this will definitely monumental for you.

Peace and Joy - This was my third temazcal. I went on my birthday. I have been having a particularly challenging time with my family. Estrangements. Shocking. Something that could really mess a person up. I have been working to recover. My intention for this temazcal was:
Rebirth with Wisdom.
Every temazcal is different. This one, led by Temazcalero Maria, was very feminine and creative, scented with flowers and tasting of honey. The temazcal ritual is all about re-connecting with Mother Earth, and to begin we were invited to walk in the beautiful gardens and pick any flower that called to us that we could bring into the temezcal. Maria said that if the flower called to us, we needed its medicine. I needed a lot so had a little bouquet!
I am from BC Canada where I have an intimate connection to the forest there. I live in Mexico City most of the time now and am working hard to develop a relationship with the plants and trees here. I began to feel a real connection during my invitation and experience walking through the wild gardens at Cosmos Inner-Harmony.
Temazcalera Maria's attention to detail was both organic and impeccable. We welcomed each Abuela (grandmother) as they were brought one-by-one into the temazcal: the hot volcanic stones that are mostly from the nearby active volcano Popocatépetl. With the Abuela's and Maria's lyrical words of wisdom and song, I really felt the Abuela's this time.
The re-birth with wisdom that the Cosmos Inner-Harmony Temazcal, the Abuelas and Maria gave me is:

I highly recommend this Temazcal experience! It's worth every peso. It's also very close to Mexico City. A little paradise where you can purge yourself of toxins to continue living in a revived and grounded manner re-connecting with our Great Mother.

One of a kind experience!!!! - This is an experience that will be one of a kind. From the moment you’re picked up to the moment you are dropped off. If you’ve never experienced a temazcal I invite you to join Maria and Huitzi who will share all their loving wisdom of the ceremony with you. You will begin by touring the property, enjoying loving cacao and walking into the Womb to ending with a warm herbal tree straight from their garden. If you’re contemplating if this is genuine or the right place for you… it is. Don’t hesitate in booking. Allow them to show you what a temazcal can offer you. It can be a healing experience if you allow it to be. I will be back again. Thank you my friends Maria and Huitzi.

Spiritual reconnecting, beautiful experience! - This is a beautiful experience! If you need to get back to understanding what you really are! You will have a better understanding of yourself and others as you are immersed in beautiful nature with a wonderful guide and translator that make the experience so effortless. Highly recommend if in Mexico City to reconnect to your spirituality.

SPECTACULAR!! - Of the best experiences, I never thought I'd find something so fatherly in the CDMX. The place is super well located and easily accessible is a huge garden in the middle of the city you wouldn't believe such a place exists.
As an extra point it is very easy to park.

LIFE CHANGING - Maria was the best!! I’ve never felt like that before. I was the only one during my experience and im glad that it happened that way. She told me the history on the way to the temazcal which really set me up to receive and embrace everything. Once we got there I felt the energy. Especially being under the full moon. We went into the temazcal and her guidance really set the tone. I will definitely be back everytime im in Mexico city!!

One of favourite experiences ever!! - This was one of the most transformative experiences of my life and was definitely the highlight of my stay in CMDX!
I wasn't sure what to expect but felt very looked after and held through the process. The location just outside of CMDX was beautiful and immediately calming.
Huitzi and Maria both created an environment from the beginning that felt true to who they both were, rooted in historic practice and also accessible to those of us experiencing the temazcal for the first time.
I recommended Maria and Huitzi to many of my friends and went on to do some more experiences with them later! Can not recommend more!
