Great private tour, accommodating - Private tour with Eliezer. He was very accommodating, gave us tons of history during the tour, kept us at a comfortable pace. Extremely courteous and professional. Even took our pictures with my cell. Towards the end, my wife was tired and he managed to find us an elevator so we didn’t have the long climb down Chapultepec Castle. Highly recommend!

The Alan Experience!!! - This could have been “just another museum” if it wasn’t for the story-telling power of Alan Hoill. He had us hooked right from the museum. He is so knowledgeable about the subject matter. So grateful we had the opportunity to be on this tour with him. Hoping he is still doing this in a year when we come back with our nephew so we can book private tours with him

Definitely a must! - Antonio was very friendly and knowledgeable. We met him in front of the museum entrance early morning before it opened. I didn’t know anything about the Mexican history, but visiting with Antonio to the Museum and the castle gave me insights on the timeline and big events of Mexican history and ancient civilizations.
PS.
We got Starbucks across the street from the Museum before the tour started.
There was a 20-30 min break for lunch at the Museum cafe.

David was a fantastic guide, and the tour was so informative & the perfect length! - Our guide David was fantastic and very knowledgable, and the tour was just the right length. Although it was a bit chilly in the morning, we were inside the Anthropology Museum first, so it was well planned. The break in between the museum and the castle was well received, as we were able to take a bathroom and Starbucks break. Our guide David also walked to Chapultepec Castle with a nice pace that was not too fast for the slower walkers. Again, the details that were given to us from our guide made the visit to this gorgeous castle so much better. Thank you for everything!

Decent but could be better - The guide was very knowledgeable but he carried a strong Spanish accent. He could explain things better by giving us an overview of different civilizations and a timeline.

Informative, good pace, to the point - The guides are informative and it was nice to learn about key highlights in Mesoamerican history. If you can afford, I would suggest a private tour because the museum part of our tour was with a large group and sometimes we could not hear what the guide was saying as we had to be way behind others in that large group and sometimes other museum goers also joined our group as and it became a huge group. fortunately the castle part of the tour was with a small group. The guide took care of the logistics quite well! It was nice we could see all the important items and features within the museum and the castle without being lost!

Good morning. Disappointing afternoon. - Okay, I'm going to share my experience, which was less than great, but I don't believe, from watching other tour groups, that it's always like today's experience. I'll try to keep it brief. Our English guide was late, without explanation or apology. She was slow to buy tickets, didn't have enough tickets or headsets, and that meant more waiting. We were asked to be on site 10 minutes early; the tour started 30 minutes late. The anthropology museum is incredible and our guide did a decent job of showing us the highlights, but it was difficult to understand everything she said. And her English vocabulary was not always up to the task of detailed explanations. Moving on, the walk to the castle is fine. Interesting detail was provided as we walked up the hill. Oh sorry, yeah, we waited again while the guide bought tickets. Once in the castle, it was very busy with many, many people moving through small spaces. A lot of what you see is through narrow doorways that can accommodate 2-3 viewers at a time. One person if taking a photo, so one has to wait in a line to see the interiors. Our guide raced through this part, providing info and moving on before we could even see anything. Extremely frustrating. Done. The tour ended an hour early and we were encouraged to walk around and take photos at our leisure. Bottom line, the anthropology museum is worth the cost of the tour. A guide is a good idea for that. Tour the castle on your own. It's too busy to provide a satisfying tour experience even with the best guide. Or take a private tour.
