- Museo Nacional de Antropologia - This significant site showcases archaeological and anthropological artifacts created by various cultural groups over centuries. It also honors Mexico’s indigenous peoples today with a rich collection that preserves the customs, representations, expressions, knowledge, and traditions that are the nation’s intangible heritage and a legacy for all humanity.
- Bosque de Chapultepec - As the largest park in the area, nearly everyone visiting Mexico City makes a point to pass through it at least once. This is your opportunity to explore everything it has to offer.
One of the largest urban parks in the Western Hemisphere, it spans approximately 686 hectares. It is centered around the rock formation known as Chapultepec Hill, which served as a sanctuary for Aztec rulers. Later, during the colonial period, Chapultepec Castle was constructed here, serving as the official residence of Mexican presidents until 1940. Afterward, the leaders moved to another section of the park called Los Pinos, which has its own unique history.
- Chapultepec Castle - The Museum’s history dates back to 1825 when Mexico’s first president, Guadalupe Victoria, initiated the formation of the first National Museum. Its history continued on December 4, 1865, when Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg established the Public Museum of Natural History, Archaeology, and History, located in the old Mint. In 1867, this Museum was divided into four sections: Natural History, Antiquities, History, and Art. By 1890, the History section had expanded to five rooms, categorized into: Franciscans, Viceroys, Cortés, Conquest, and Independence.
- Hemiciclo a Juarez - After completing the entire experience, it’s time to return to the starting point in Mexico City Center. Take a moment to relax, rest, and reflect. What did this tour leave you with? What was your favorite part of this tour?
