Our walk will take us past the San Andrés Apóstol Church, where we’ll observe a variety of Dia de Muertos shrines. These memorials, embellished with skulls and pictures, honor the souls of passed loved ones. You’ll discover the intricate practices involved in crafting these tributes, each with its distinct ceremonial importance.
For Mexican families, Dia de Muertos is deeply meaningful. Kinfolk such as parents, grandparents, siblings, and extended relatives, gather in burial grounds to pay homage to those with whom they’ve previously shared their journey of life.
Once we’ve absorbed the main customs of this poignant day during our Mixquic Dia de Muertos outing, we’ll return to our transport and unwind as we head back to Mexico City.
