Additional Information

Celebrate Mexican independence authentically by savoring a delicious chile en nogada in a charming local home. Uncover the intriguing history of this dish and learn to make it from scratch, just as countless families across Mexico do. Discover how the newly formed Mexican nation transformed a colonial recipe of meat-, fruit-, and nut-stuffed Poblano peppers in a creamy walnut sauce into a symbol of its remarkable cuisine. Under the guidance of an expert chef, use fresh local ingredients to prepare the dish from scratch. After about two hours, relish the fruits of your labor at a table adorned with handmade serveware and festive decorations.

  • We can easily cater to vegetarians by replacing the meat with oyster mushrooms (if you ask us, this veggie chile en nogada is even better than the original!). The dish is gluten free, but unfortunately contains dairy and nuts.
