• Centro Historico - Head to the Zocalo, National Palace, and the Cathedral to arrive at a historic site where Diego Rivera studied and painted some of his first murals. This place was also crucial in Frida Kahlo’s life, as it was where she first met Diego Rivera while he was painting one of his murals.
• Centro Historico - Optional lunch at the iconic restaurant, a place frequented by Frida and Diego. The restaurant is famous for its colonial architecture and traditional Mexican cuisine, allowing you to taste some of the favorite dishes of these artists.
• Plaza Tlaxcoaque - Pass by the place where Frida had her bus accident.
• Del Carmen (Coyoacan) - After lunch, head to Coyoacán to see the mural in honor of Frida Kahlo. This mural is a tribute to her legacy and is located in one of the neighborhoods where Frida lived much of her life. It’s a fitting prelude to the visit to the Casa Azul. Great place to take pictures!
