Tour and guide were incredible. - Our tour guide Lithage?? was truly excellent. She picked us up at the hotel on time and provided some history of the areas that we passed through on the way to the Shrine. Inside she gave us very detailed information and did not rush us at all. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

More a personal experience than a tour - Our tour was perfect! I can’t remember her name, but she took us everywhere, spending as much time as we wanted. Pick up was on time. Nothing tops seeing Our Lady of Guadalupe, and attending Mass at the basilica comes in second. Our tour encompassed everything, and nothing was rushed. Highly recommend her.

Great use of a Sunday afternoon - Mario was a great guide! I did this on a Sunday afternoon. We walked around the basilica, and Mario gave us some of the history. At the end some of us went to mass, and others had time to wander around for 45 minutes which was nice

A Most Memorable Visit to Guadalupe - I give Ligia top ratings because she is knowledgeable and pleasant company. We also commend her for her patience. I misunderstood her instructions where to meet after visiting the first Apparition. She waited awhile and I apologized for the mistake. She’s the most experienced tour guide at Amigo Tours, working there for 19 years.

Great Indigenous background information - I found Alberto to be very knowledgeable especially about the background of Juan Diego and his indigenous nature. This is a subject commonly overlooked by tours who simply recite the common published story. If you'd like to learn more about the lesser known aspects of the story, then Alberto is a great guide. However, you need to express an interest in a specific topic. As I have been researching this apparition for awhile, he brought good insights to more completely tell the story.

Overpriced private tour with unengaging guide - The site itself was beautiful and amazing! We went back on our own the next day and spent even more time there. The tour was very overpriced and not what we expected (I have done TA tours before and they have always been top notch). Our guide was nice and knew a lot about the facts/history about the area and the Guadalupe Shrine, but she did not have the skills to be a good tour guide. She didn't ask us anything about ourselves, did not make the van ride engaging, and did not take command of the tour. We could have almost done the same thing on our own, just as we did the next day without a guide. We took another TA tour two days later to the pyramids, and that guide was exceptional!

Disappointed - My tour was cancelled and no reason was stated. I was just sent an email stating that it would not be taking place.
