Spooky and Unforgettable! - We took a sunset tour of the Island of the Dolls, and it was unreal. Alan and his crew were so welcoming and really knew their stuff. They didn’t just show us the place—they brought it to life with stories and history. There’s something haunting and beautiful about the island. You feel it when you’re standing there, surrounded by those eerie, weathered dolls. It’s unsettling but also oddly meaningful. I left feeling connected to it in a way I didn’t expect. Can’t recommend this tour enough, and I’d love to book with them again next time we’re in Mexico City.

Alan! … Alan!! … Alan!!!! - We took an Uber out on a Friday morning landing for the 12pm tour. It was actually easy to find because Alan messaged with all the info and it didn’t take as long as we feared it might. However the new pals we met on this tour had a nightmare Uber ride out of downtown the day before, where they ended up missing their booking. Luckily for them, and us, Alan was so cool that he let them come back the next day free of charge and join our tour. We had a blast on the cute boat with Alan as our host, and Cassidy and Natalie as our compañeras. 2 homemade quesadillas and very nice tequila hit the spot upon disembarking down the beautiful canals of the Xochimilco conservation area. Alan told us of his family and the culture of the area as we ate and drank passing other boats of locals. When we arrived at the island it was immediately obvious that this was a highlight of our time here in CDMX. Alan took us to a creepy cabin and told us the story of the island before allowing us to explore the rest ourselves. On the return trip Alan brought out three different bottles of mezcal for us to try and we played games for prizes and fun punishments. Very fun. There are also many shops and waterfront restaurants where we even had a few more drinks with our new friends before heading back to the city.

Bucket List must do - Loved this tour. I love anything scary that has a story. Enjoyed the boat ride, food and drinks. We were able to see the marigold field which was perfect for Dia de los Muertos. Food and drinks on the boat were delicious. Relaxing boat ride. The island was not a disappointment. The story was so interesting also a bit somber. There was lots of time to walk around and take photos.

Afternoon joyride - This was an absolutely delightful experience. I was a solo traveler and wanted to join up with a group. We had delicious quesadillas, drinks, and mezcal. The games were fun. Alan informed us of the history of Doll Island and treated it with the sensitivity that it deserves. An excellent afternoon.

Fantastic Experience. - Where to even begin? This was easily the coolest experience I've had in Mexico so far on our trip. Perfect for those who enjoy spooky things, and learning new things. I've had a lot of tour guides, but Paola is easily one of the best. So friendly, fun, and kind. The boat trip to the island itself was incredibly fun, and the island is very creepy (which I loved). Santiago and Alan were also very fun and kind and made the experience even better. Make no mistake, if you come to Mexico City, you NEED to come here. If nothing else, for Paola's hospitality and how much effort she puts into the tour. She's the absolute best and puts a lot of thought and care into these tours and it shows. Even if you don't like spooky things, they do other tours, and to see this part of Mexico City is a must. Phenomenal time. Truly made coming to Mexico City worth it.
