Great tour guide and smooth experience - Francisco gave a fantastic tour - very friendly and shared great information! Hector was a great driver as well. We had a great time seeing the pyramids and learned a lot, and the pickup and dropoff from our hotel was seamless.

Memorable Trip!! - Our tour with Francisco was fantastic! Although there was some miscommunication in the beginning regarding the pick-up location, Francisco was incredibly helpful and patient. He communicated effectively and helped us find a meeting spot that worked for both of us. Francisco was knowledgeable, funny, and patient throughout the tour. He provided insightful information and made the experience both educational and entertaining. He and the van driver were great, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey. We highly recommend taking a tour with Francisco. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made our trip truly memorable!

I appreciate the tour... - I appreciate the tour guide's informative information regarding the pyramids. I had a great time learning and sightseeing. The restaurant we had lunch at was also great and the artisan mercado stop after lunch to learn about local art was also a learning experience. All this within a working day (factor in the drive to and fro). This is a great tour!

Phenomenally educational! - Angelina was a fantastic tour guide and educated us about so many parts of Mexico City on the ride to Teotihuacan. She was extremely knowledgeable about the pyramids and slated recent archaeological studies. The pace was perfect, and there were only three of us beside her and our terrific driver, Juan. Don’t do this trip on your own. Do it with this tour!

Great experience from a solo traveller's perspective - I was on solo trip in Mexico city and wanted a good opportunity to leave the city a bit without the hassle. This tour was perfect. Got picked up near my Airbnb , and got to see different locations across the city with commentary. Stopped at some locations within the city and finally made our way to the pyramids. The guide (Raphael) was very kind and knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions (I ask a lot of questions). Got a free tasting of local drinks (they were very good) and ice cream, as well as a brief explanation of some of the rocks found on site and previously used in different crafts. Was also good to chat with other tourists on the tour. Driving (Hugo) was also good and safe. Highly recommended.

An amazing tour not to be missed - The tour was amazing and we had excellent English speaking guide Rafael and sites were awesome.- We were picked up from our hotel then taken to the Aztec site in-the centre of Mexico City and then to Teotihuacán pyramids. We climbed part of the Pyramid of the Sun without crowds of tourists. Then we went to a really good tequila tasting and tasted lots of varieties. Then back to look at the Pyramid of the Moon and a walk down the avenue of the Dead. This was followed by an option for lunch at a very nice authentic Mexican restaurant. The cost was reasonable and the food was very nice . Then we were driven back our hotel in the early afternoon.

Morning tour of the pyramids - Fun, almost private tour. Just another couple and our family of 4 with the tour. You can’t climb the big pyramids anymore (Sun and Moon), that was a bummer. The rest was all great.

Disappointed - Despite the bad weather, the guide tried to make the best of it. What I had not understood from the description of the excursion is that after the visit of Tio we were taken to a store with the invitation to buy and afterwards to a restaurant with compulsory lunch. These last 2 visits were too much.

Disappointing tour: wouldn’t recommend to a friend - During purchase a 7am pick up time was advertised. They messaged us the night before confirming a pick up time of 7:10am which was great. However, the morning of they messaged us saying they were experiencing some issues with the van and to expect a pick up time of 7:30am— again this was fine as it was communicated. When they didn’t arrive at 7:30am we followed up and they kept telling us it would be 10 more minutes until they finally arrived around 8:15am. When we got in the van we were not greeted and the guide did not introduce themselves or confirm our names/group. There were 14 people on the tour in total. The tour was a bilingual tour— meaning some of the guests spoke Spanish and others spoke English. Everything was said twice, once in each language. It would have been helpful to know that information when booking so we could have made a more informed decision. On the drive to Teotihuacan, the guide Ines eventually introduced herself and began to share an explanation of some of the history. She didn’t have a mic so it was difficult to hear her, especially from the back of the tour bus. While we of course expected the guide to have an accent as we our guests in another country, we did find her English a little difficult to understand. I can understand Spanish fairly well & in many cases it was easier to follow the Spanish explanation than try to piece together the English. The transportation to Teotihuacan was fairly comfortable and easy. We first went to the smallest pyramid. The pyramids themselves were incredible! We were able to climb up this one which was really cool. There was a small overlook on the backside where you could see some decorative pieces. Ines didn’t tell us that was there nor did she provide any explanation of that area/side. We saw other groups learning about the history and the pieces and were disappointed that wasn’t included in our tour. Ines would often begin walking away from the group without any explanation of what was next and expect the group to follow her. While we trusted her and knew she had a plan it would have improved the experience if she told us what was next. After the first pyramid, we returned to the van & were driven to a gift shop for the alcohol “tasting”. At the store they provided a small introduction about the agave and different uses. They then walked us around the store essentially giving a sales pitch of a few different items they sold. We then did a tasting of two different drinks. The tasting was about a quarter teaspoon of each drink. We then drove to the sun & moon pyramids. Ines did a small introduction and walked us to the moon pyramid. We then had an hour to explore independently. Again, the pyramids themselves are incredible! After the independent exploration, we returned to the van & drove to lunch. Most of the entrees were around $10-15 which we found reasonable. After the lunch, we drove back to the Mexico City and were dropped off. There were plenty of opportunities to use the restroom on the tour: at both pyramid stops, at the store, and at the restaurant. We ultimately were disappointed the tour & wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. The explanations were limited and at times difficult to hear or understand. The communication regarding transportation could also be improved. We were able to make the best of it since it’s such an incredible site but, the tour was disappointing.
