- El Atrio del Templo de San Francisco - In this beautiful church we will read Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the greatest reference in New Spain poetry. Likewise, we will discuss the religious and mythical dynamics of Mexican syncretism.
- Zocalo - In the heart of the city, right in front of the government palace, we will read “The Anonymous of Tlatelolco”, which corresponds to the indigenous testimony against the conquest of Mexico.
- Museo del Templo Mayor - In the archaeological windows of the main temple, from the outside, we will read the indigenous poet Nezahualcoyotl, also emperor of Texcoco and engineer. Without a doubt, representative of mythical poetry prior to the vicissitudes of the Spanish conquest.

Such a special experience... - Such a special experience to read some of Mexico's greatest poets at key sites in Centro Historico. This was a unique way to learn about Mexican history through a a short but powerful selection of poems. José also recommended some other sites that weren’t on my list and that I never would have found otherwise. Recommend for literature lovers and for folks who want something a little off the beaten path!
