Great way to get to know a city - Super relaxed to just be abel to walk behind Al through little back streets to hidden gems! We (fam of 6 w/ kids 15-22 years old) enjoyed every minute of the place we saw and the stories he told us. We had a custom tour because we are not interested in the “tourist traps” and mariachis and tequila (sorry!) and we walked areas we had walked before but with Al saw 10x more!! specially loved Condesa/Roma his home game!! Hopped on public transport (good for the kids to experience!) He took more than the agreed time, knew his rout and stayed so relaxed! Would ask him again a next visit!! Feels like a friend!

Excellent tour! - Mariel was a terrific, engaging guide and knowledgable storyteller. She gave my friends and me a tour of Centro Historico on the first day of our trip to Mexico City, and it was the perfect orientation to start our visit. I’d highly recommend Mariel to anyone interested in learning about the city’s rich history. We learned so much and saw many things I’m certain we would have missed otherwise.

A fun and informative afternoon walk! - Mariel was a great tour guide and given her background, knew a lot about everything. One of the monuments she wanted to show us was closed for some reason but she managed to show us quite bit other than that. We loved the walking tour with Mariel because we got to see the city and some of its historical places with information that we might not have learned otherwise. Would definitely recommend Mariel to anyone interested in a fun, informative 3 hours.

Exploring hidden gems in Mexico City - We had a really great day with Daniel who took us to some really beautiful and fascinating spots in Mexico City's historic centre; places we would never have found ourselves and which it would have been a shame to miss. Daniel's relaxed but informative style suited us well. He carefully tailored his tour to take into account the exceptionally hot weather and made sure we were comfortable at all times and not bored for a moment. His love for the City was really infectious and we can't wait to return. We would definitely use him again on another visit.

Great tour! - Mariel was so great! For starters, we really underestimated the traffic in Mexico City so we were a little late for our tour. Mariel was so gracious and still showed us a great time. She was so knowledgeable about the history of Mexico City, especially with regard to the indigenous people. We also stopped at a taco place that was amazing - best taco we had in Mexico City. 10/10 would recommend, especially for first timers or history buffs!

Central Historico walking tour - Absolutely enjoyed the walking tour with Mariel. She was friendly, and gave a good backstory, history to all the areas that we walked to along with some fun trivia. She was very informed about the historic importance of each building and that was helpful when visiting as a first timer. Would recommend her if anyone is visiting the Historic district in Mexico City for the first time.

Great way to see the highlights with a pro - We had a great time with Daniel- he was so knowledgeable and fun - he’s very chill and sweet and made sure that we had a good experience - he allowed lots of time for us to duck into wherever we wanted and the trip to the market with him was exceptional - our Spanish is minimal and he explained all the different foods and dishes - we stopped for coffee as well- a relaxed and fun way to see the highlights with a pro like Daniel !

Walking tour with Mariel. A must do. - Mariel, was a very passionate and extremely knowledgeable guide whose passion for her country was very evident in the way she shared the info on the tour. It was interesting how she was able to bring in all the socio economic, cultural,and political of the history of Mexico. A very warm and personable guide. We would have missed out on understanding the true workings of the city. A tour with Mariel is a must when visiting the city. Thanks to the informative tour, we enjoyed and were able to interpret the Ballet Folklore De Mexico.

Personable, well educated guide gave us a very comprehensive tour - Mariel, our guide, studies social anthropology and has a passion for the history and culture of Mexico. She provided a wealth of information about the history of this area in a very interesting way. It was our first time in Mexico City and we learned so much through this tour. Highly recommend!

Do not book this tour! Extremely disappointing service. - Do not book this tour! I am extremely disappointed with this tour service. We arrived on time and waited at the exact location (a pin on Google Maps was provided in their confirmation email). When Daniel didn't show up after 15 minutes, I began messaging the tour operator but received no response. We waited for a total of 45 minutes, yet there was absolutely no correspondence from the company.
Despite trying to contact them several times using the numbers provided both by the tour company and Viator customer service, I received no response. When I asked for a refund, Viator informed me that the tour operator claimed they never received my contact number, but I was never asked for one in the first place. They only sent me a confirmation email. In lieu of a refund, I asked to reschedule the tour, but I still received no response.
This tour service is a scam, and I strongly advise against using them. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company at all costs.
