Join us for a day-long journey to some of the most significant historical locations outside of Mexico City, including Puebla, Cholula and Tonantzintla.
Our adventure begins with a scenic drive from Mexico City towards the eastern part of the city, against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
Take in stunning views of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes as we make our way to Cholula town.
Next, we head to Santa María de Tonantzintla, a distinctive church that marries indigenous and Christian interpretations and epitomizes indigenous baroque art.
We’ll then take a guided tour through the Cathedral and the historic center of Puebla, also known as the ‘City of Angels’, showing you its most emblematic sights.
Before heading back to Mexico City, we’ll sample local cuisine, visit the Parian Market and enjoy some free time for you to explore on your own.

Nice experience. - Bernardo our tour guide gave us an excellent tour around, and I enjoyed and learned a lot from him about the history of Mexico and the architecture of the churches were fascinating.

Must to do! - Unique place and great trip. Carlo was fantastic guide. Lot's to see, memorable views and fantastic weather in June. Traffic was bad but it is no ones fault..

Excellent tour - We visited Puebla, a magnificent place to visit, Alexa was our host and gave us a lot of information about the different places we visited.
Charlie was our driver, he also kept an eye on us.

Our trip to Cholula and... - Our trip to Cholula and Puebla was really memorable. Our tour guide expended a lot of effort to inform us and gave us a tip about the very nice restaurant where we had our wonderful lunch, the restaurant was Evangelina's. On the way we heard legends about the origin of the 2 volcanoes. We spent a wonderful afternoon touring the streets and stores of Puebla. We cannot say enough good things about our tour guide. She also warned us not to buy stuff at Cholula because it is a tourist trap . Cholula had a nice church on top of a hill, which was certainly worth the climb. To sum up, thanks to our tour guide and Amigo tours, our trip to Puebla and Cholula was unforgettable.

Cultural experience outside of CDMX - The tour was very interesting and allowed me to visit one of the most important cities in the history of Mexico. I really enjoyed the vibe of Puebla and we had enough time to visit it. Cholula pyramid was definately the surprise for me together with the quantity of churches built in this region. The tour guide explanations were pertinent and insightful.

Great day out from CDMX - Amigo Tours’ Dora did an amazing job giving us equal parts guided tour/orientation and free time to explore at our three stops. Really fell in love with Puebla during our couple of hours there and plan to one day return and stay longer. Driver was safe and coach comfortable although the toilet smelled a bit from time to time and I would have preferred a bus without one as it’s only 2.5 hours to and from CDMX.

The company acted in bad faith. - The company acted in bad faith. I bought all my tours at CDMX with this company, on one of the days there was an unforeseen incident on the road that caused the tour to not take place. We were not instructed on what we should do about this, so I contacted TripAdvisor to request a refund and rebooked the tour, which had not taken place, for another date, as I believed the company would refund (perhaps charging a small fee) the amount you had paid. The result was: I paid R$310.00 for a tour THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN GET OFF THE BUS and the company reimbursed me R$92.00. It should be OTHERWISE. I should PAY the minimum amount as a fee. I felt robbed. Disappointing. I will be returning to Mexico soon and this company will no longer be my option, as they do not respect their customers.
