It is one of the most significant and frequented temples in Puebla State and uniquely blends indigenous and Christian traditions. It was declared a historic monument in 1933.

• Puebla - Explore the Cathedral and the historic center of Puebla. Enjoy a walking tour through Puebla’s charming historic center, known as the “City of Angels,” featuring buildings from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. The tour includes the Zócalo, Cathedral, Rosario Church, and many other iconic sites in the city.

Join us for a day-long journey to some of the most significant historical locations outside of Mexico City, including Puebla, Cholula and Tonantzintla.

Our adventure begins with a scenic drive from Mexico City towards the eastern part of the city, against a backdrop of majestic mountains.

Take in stunning views of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes as we make our way to Cholula town.

Next, we head to Santa María de Tonantzintla, a distinctive church that marries indigenous and Christian interpretations and epitomizes indigenous baroque art.

We’ll then take a guided tour through the Cathedral and the historic center of Puebla, also known as the ‘City of Angels’, showing you its most emblematic sights.

Before heading back to Mexico City, we’ll sample local cuisine, visit the Parian Market and enjoy some free time for you to explore on your own.
