Absolutely a beautiful place! Worth the drive! - This was our 3/4 tours we had during our 8 day stay in Mexico City. All of our tours are with Amigo tours and I would say they are the best! From the buses and tour guides, they are great! For this tour, be prepared for the 4 hour drive one way. We left the pick up place at 6:30 am. After 2 hours of bus ride, we stopped for breakfast. Be also prepared for like 30 minutes of walking, from the viewpoint all the way down to the plaza. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Lots of walking on cobblestone. San Miguel de Allende is beautiful. A good place to retire from US. Quiet, laid back life. We left the place at approximately 4:30 pm and got back at 9 pm. We only stopped for bathroom break because of the expected heavy traffic back to the city. Be sure to grab some food to eat inside the bus. The traffic was horrendous and you don’t want to be hungry if you get stuck. They said that the latest they got back was 11 pm due to traffic. Our tour guide Barbara was excellent! Kudos to our driver Fernando for rerouting our route, otherwise we would arrive at midnight.

Great time - There was the festival for St. Michael the Arc Angel so there was a big celebration. It was nice to see the town get together and have a parade, give mass outside and see how they celebrate. Our guide Ada was very knowledgeable as well and helpful.

Fantastic tour and guide - Ada was an incredible tour guide. The bus was very confortable. Our tour was a great mix of guided and independent where we learned the historical context of the city and got to explore on our own. Highly recommend this tour!

Great….wish there was more time. - SMA is beautiful and our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The driver was great navigating complicated roads on a very long journey. The only negatives were the meeting location and that we didn’t have more time in SMA.

Drive was too lone. - Was hoping for a guided tour once in the city. Pretty much just had to research on my own. Guide Adda was not around in case of questions. Said to meet back at a certain time only.
