You’ll explore a bustling tamales factory that produces over 20 different types each day, which we believe are the city’s finest. A brief walk through the neighborhood market will give you a sense of a typical urban market’s atmosphere.
You’ll drop by a community culinary school and eatery that supports residents interested in launching their own culinary ventures. Additionally, you’ll visit an obscure pulquería, an establishment with old-fashioned swinging doors and no signage, that has been a local favorite for over a century, serving a traditional fermented Mexican drink with origins dating back to pre-Columbian times.
