In this journey, we will visit the most significant building for the Mexicas, who governed the city until its fall in August 1521. The Templo Mayor was almost entirely demolished, and its construction materials were reused to build the first European-style city.

Nevertheless, we will encounter buildings, mural paintings, and artifacts that had been buried beneath the city’s historic center for centuries, until their discovery by the Urban Archaeology Program and the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
