Teotihuacán and Basilica - Great tour. Excellent communication. Very worthwhile. Really enjoyed the pyramids and the basilica. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of time to explore.

make sure to bring a hat... - make sure to bring a hat while seeing the pyramids at Teotihuacan! It was gorgeous and magical but very hot and sunny, even in December.

Excellent value full day tour - This tour was wonderful! Besides Teotihuacan being an amazing experience, the trip included a tour of a local artisan group that makes obsidian pieces and silver jewelry, plus tequila and mezcal with agave plants grown on site. We got to taste several agave based drinks that are produced throughout the harvest and fermentation process. They had a huge shop that I bought several beautiful pieces of high quality silver jewelry at. We paid for the included lunch which was delicious. Our tour guide and driver were both lovely and very knowledgeable. Exceptional value for your money, highly recommend!

The highlight of the day... - The highlight of the day was definitely Teotihuacan and the pyramids so I'm glad that my group and I got to experience this. Although the website advertises this as an 8-9 hour day, our day ended up being around 11 hours from pickup to dropoff. The package we bought included lunch. However, we didnt end up eating lunch until 330 pm so please eat breakfast beforehand. The biggest negative of this experience was the driver who was frequently missing, leading to many inefficiencies of the day. However, our tour guide Teresa was nice and remained professional under these circumstances.

Poor - They are not providing us with lunch, which I paid for. We stayed longer in the shops. I would prefer to stay longer in the sites

Not great - I would suggest to organise your trip to the temples and Guadalupe independently. The tour started around 40 minutes late, which I understand is due to the CDMX traffic, but we were the only ones waiting at our stop and if we didn’t text the company to ask for updates, we wouldn’t have known how long it would have been, what the van looked liked, or if we were in the right place. We are fluent in Spanish and English, and we booked the tour in Spanish to have a more local experience. The guide, Gaby, really struggled to switch between the two languages, so when we realised that we were the only people speaking Spanish in the group, we told the guide that she could just speak in English. Gaby joked that we could have said it before she had to struggle so much, and although I understand it was a joke and we laughed at the time , I now think that one should not offer a bilingual tour if not able to run it. Especially because I went on a fantastic bilingual tour in Oaxaca after this one, with a very capable guide. Gaby was hard to understand in English, and the information given was very elementary and not interesting. On the way to the temples we got an explainer on all the costs of every single transportation in CDMX, for some reason. The history facts were very basic. We stopped at Tlatelolco and there was no mention of its important history tied to the student movement in the 60s. The food at the lunch spot was ok but not great. We were dropped for way too much time at shops and tourist traps where they tried to sell us stuff. The day wasn’t terrible just because the places themselves were gorgeous, but we could have made it much shorter and more pleasant by organising it ourselves.

Do not book with Viator - Book with a different company. This one does not communicate clearly or timely. I sent several messages and received many differing meeting times and places. This caused a lot of stress and nearly made us miss our tour. The van was not marked and the guide never responded to several messages. I was told to leave the meeting place and go to another spot. Luckily I did not listen and stayed put. The guide was okay, but I think the Trip Advisor tour is better. This one will take you a lot of side places where you are expected to tip people for everything. I usually only leave reviews for good service, but the communication was awful. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. I've been to the pyramids 3 times and this was not the one to choose. I was disappointed.
