Highlights
  • Zona Arqueologica Teotihuacan - Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commonly referred to as the City of the Gods, this pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city is known for its well-preserved murals, vast Avenue of the Dead and the impressive pyramids that mark its landscape.

Arrive at the archeological park before the crowds in the early morning just as it begins to open its gates. Take in the serene and mystical atmosphere as your group meanders through large empty plazas in the absence of the crowds and explore the pyramids.

View the murals, architectural as your guide explains their archeological significance, and tells stories about the culture that inhabited this ancient city.

  • Tlacaelel - To complete this experience in this impressive site, you’ll stop in an obsidian workshop with a truly Teotihuacan family, where you will be offered tastings of liqueurs made from cactus as well as tequila, mezcal and pulque.

Right there you will take the lunch (not included) which by the variety of dishes and its Mexican traditional flavor is in itself another great experience before your guide delivers you back to the central meeting points.

Very interesting experience - We had an amazing time! Lily was our English speaking guide. She was incredible. She was so kind and passionate about the information she was giving us. She was very easy to follow and made the meeting points very clear. I will add that there is a shop on this property that you can purchase items from, but it is very overpriced, so i would only buy here if this would be your only opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Also, the restaurant we stopped at was very mediocre but had great musical entertainment. I gave this tour 5 stars because of Lily and the knowledge she shared of Teotihuacan.

Good overall thanks to the guides - Guides were really nice, very professional and bus very comfortable. Restaurant not so good, big touristic trap. Tequila tasting was not that great either. Thanks for the ride!

Great guide, great tour - Our guide was Andres and he was fantastic: both knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed his tales of history. My one negative comment was the discomfort of the van provided. The seats were crammed in and very small and the van appeared to have few if any shocks: very rough drive.

I took the tour solo, and... - I took the tour solo, and it was the perfect way to explore Teotihuacan, especially since there’s nothing at the site that helps you understand the history of the place. All instructions were clear and everything went smoothly. Hector was a knowledgeable guide, and was able to bring Teotihuacan to life for us - a truly beautiful site. We were there around 8.30, and while it might get crowded afterwards, it was pretty much empty when we arrived, which made the visit even more interesting. The stop at the shop/restaurant for the tequila tasting and souvenir shopping was something I found have lived without (especially because everything was extremely expensive), but it looked like it was the only restaurant in the area, so not much choice

Mostly Good - I did this exact company’s tour with a friend 5 or so years ago. I came back to CDMX with my family in January 2023 and was excited to find the same tour available and to sign us up. The guides were great, the bus was great, everything well organized and I would recommend this tour, with one reservation and one suggestion for the tour company. The suggestion is about the “What to Expect” itinerary at the time of my purchase which said, “Huff your way up the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid…” This was the highlight of the tour for me the first time and the part we anticipated the most this time. The tour went on and on and we kept wondering when we would make the climb. We took a few walks, even went into a museum, but didn’t approach the pyramids. Towards the end of the tour, we were finally told that people could no longer climb them since 2020. We had been anticipating this the whole time from the description of the tour. We literally had less than 10 minutes to walk around this part at the very end before getting back on the bus. And by then, the site had filled up with folks who did not take the early bird tour. I wish we had done this sooner and saved the museum for last. Yes, we had a view from afar the whole time, but that plus 10 minutes was it. It is not the tour company’s fault that the pyramids are closed, but it has now been several year since the closure and the tour description still hasn’t been changed. It was misleading. Please change this to reflect the reality of the (very good) tour. The only tour- related complaint is the lunch experience was a “tourist trap” type restaurant. No vegetarian choices, no inexpensive items on the menu, and the food was tourist-type food. We ended up just having drinks and waiting to have a late lunch upon our return. If you are on a budget or have dietary restrictions be aware.

GVTSTMP - Good tour, the tour guide was very nice and really made an effort. A little more time to discover would have been nice. Advice: skip the food in the restaurant it’s not very good and overpriced. Other that that I’d strongly recommend the tour.

Great way to see the pyramids - Great way to see the pyramids. Clean bus, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Tour includes a tequila tasting and a stop for lunch (cost of lunch is not included). I could have done without both and just gotten us back sooner.

Great guides, bad food - Fantastic guides and interesting experience. The restaurant at the end leaves a really bad taste in ones mouth - way overpriced (750mx) for what is essentially grilled strips of offcut meats. Recommend bringing your own sandwich and then it would be five stars

Big group and useless stops after guided tour. - Tour is in a big group, if you prefer smaller groups and more individual explanations by the guide, search for other operators or guides at the place. After the guided tour you will visit a touristic shopping place (aka Tequila tasting) and thereafter a restaurant with bad food quality. There is no way to escape this as the bus is locked during those two hours. We therefore arrived about one hour late - and that was not the traffic but the bad time planning of the operator.

Disappointing tour and scam - Good afternoon; Honestly, paying €43 (870mx) seems like a scam to me for the type of tour they do. There is not much beyond the transportation and the entrance because they barely explained anything to us, the guides took us to the 3 pyramids, they talked a little about one of them and that's it. If you asked them something they would answer you but you could read all the information on the signs that accompany each pyramid. It didn't include food, yes, they take you to a restaurant for tourists with inflated prices, without the possibility of going to another because you only have 50 minutes and you don't have time. The best thing was seeing the crafts and trying liquors, everything prepared for you to continue buying. I don't recommend it at all.
