Tours are great for first time visitors - It was my family first time in CDMX. These 2-day tours were great to visit the all major parts of the city. We learned a lot regarding the history of CDMX and we were able to enjoy all the beautiful sites from Teotihuacan, Xochimilco, Coyoacán. This is a great tour to see Frida Khalo’s Casa Azul. If you’re visiting CDMX for the first time, it’s worth get these tours. Thank you Chris, Alazar, Diana for being some amazing tour guides.

Fun tour - This was a really fun trip and our guide and driver were wonderful. The process of waiting and then getting into the Blue House museum is the only down side but so think that’s part of the museum’s process—not a reflection on the tour guides. The boat cruise os the star—if you have time go!

2day tour - They have to rearrange when to visit Teotihuacán, we were there after lunch aroun 2:30 it was so hot we couldn’t even walk around so are other couples Second day day spent an hour in a jewelry store which was waste of time, Xochimilco was wonderful, then we stopped at a fish rests, there wasn’t any other restaurant around , so we had to eat there, resulted with the food poisoning. Because of wasted time on traffic and jewelry store we only had 15 min in Coyoacán and finished with Kahlo’s house which was good

Just ok, not a memorable experience - I wish I could say I enjoyed this experience, but that would be dishonest. First off, the tour is way too large. I didn’t notice this until we got to the Guadalupe shrine where the streets are very crowded. Standing outside in the hot sun waiting for the big coach bus to arrive, while hundreds of people passed by on the tiny sidewalk was not fun at all. Moving around with such a large group of people gets confusing and frustrating. Furthermore, there wasn’t much intimacy and it was easy to get distracted when the guides were sharing information. I also found some points of the tour to lack enough guidance/info. For example, we were pretty much on our own at the Guadalupe shrine. I could’ve done without visiting there, as I didn’t get much out of it. The pyramids were cool, but after a few minutes, it’s boring. We opted for the buffet at the restaurant near the pyramids, which was not very tasty. I also think the alcohol tasting at this same restaurant (during the agave plant demonstration) made me sick. Overall, I wish I had chosen a smaller tour to visit these sites in the city.

Amigo Tours is a scam. All they want is your money - Where to start with Amigo Tours... First off their business model seems to be to buy as many tickets to the Frida Kahlo Museum as possible so there's very few for people looking to go on their own. If you notice the Museum is booked up very far in advance and I suspect it's because this company hoards them. Frida was an activist and women of the people I bet she would be so ashamed that her museum is doing this. Almost everyone on our tour was only there for the Frida museum and I suspect like us, it was only because tickets to the general public were sold out-again because this company buys them in hoards. First stop on this tour was a silver shop which was an obvious cash grab. Pretty clearly Amigo either also owned the silver shop or was getting kick backs from purchases. I don't really appreciate paying for a tour then getting strung along like that. Guide did provide some useful info and was kind. But while waiting for the Frida museum to let us know when we could arrived we were taken to a college and walked around. This completely uninteresting and was clearly a way for them to kill time. I would say avoid Amigo Tours (and please do) but they do a pretty good job of monopolizing the tour industry in Mexico City. Just book your Frida Kahlo tours in advance so you don't have to spend 10 hrs sitting through their tour and only 1 of those hrs is in the actual museum.

Poor customer service policies - One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. Could not make the tour and needed to cancel for personal reasons. I arrived in Mexico City after the 24 hour cancellation period and called to cancel. The tour guide showed up to the hotel and I said I wanted to cancel, which she said that was okay, after she made a call to her office. I was still on the hook for paying for the full amount for a private tour, which cost more than my flight alone. I was on the phone with them and my credit card company for hours and still had to pay the full amount, even though I didn’t partake in the tour. Super frustrating experience and won’t be recommending this company to any of my friends and family.
