Slow day - Pickup scheduled for 6:20. Bus arrive at 6:45... That set the mood for the day. I understand 5 min late but 30... My time is just as valuable as yours

Great guide, average experience - So the experience is good from understanding the background behind the history of the pyramids but its also, like a lot of other things in Mexico city, rigged. The best things is the guide and the driver, but the transport is in a cramped minibus- if you are taller thank 5'4, good luck. It left me with horrible knee pain. Then for lunch they take you to the restaurant they pick, where the prices are obnoxious, well over double or triple of anywhere else. You do not have a choice, probably they have some sort of an arrangement with this travel agency. So yes, good experience but be aware of be drawbacks.

Tour PLUS tourist trap, not as advertised - Goodness have a small bus take us out to the temples. But as for no 'tourist traps" ha! The restaurant we were taken to at the END of the visit (not the beginning, as advertised) had traditional dancers and a guitarist, who did a good job but ... tips. And then the "mezcal tasting" and much more at a shop. Everything was immaculately clean and nice, but definitely a tourist trap. We had 1 hour of tour and 1 hour of free time. I would have appreciated more time with the guide as we wandered down the Avenue of the Dead to ask questions, e.g. why didn't the Spanish tear this place down too?

Knowledgeable and nice tour guide, but very long and felt like sales pitch at the end. - It was amazing to be able to walk the space to visit the pyramids. Our guide David was friendly overall, and knowledgeable about the history. It was a very long day of walking, in addition to staying for lunch and a sales pitch. We were discouraged from buying souvenirs at the pyramids, and our guide. Let us know there would be an opportunity at the end. That was frustrating because the souvenirs inside the attraction were very cheap. They were likely not authentic, but very affordable. Once we reached the shopping of the tour, we got great history on artifacts, but to purchase souvenirs, the price was 30 times more expensive (4000 pesos rather than 300 pesos). We were on our own for lunch, but they took us to a specific place which was quite pricey. It seems that the tour agency must have a relationship with the restaurant, and the place with the artifacts. Very disappointing because I missed out on buying low priced souvenirs for my family. Overall, the walking should be expected and our tour guide was nice and knowledgeable. The group was very large, about 30 people.

Left behind at ruins - The pickup time was late. The group leader had a really bad accent and was difficult to understand. I was given the wrong meet time and therefore the group left without me. I had to get a separate bus to City and eventually get back to my hotel.

Terrible waste of time - I have several complaints for this tour and its operator Amigo tours. The list is as under: 1. From pick up time of 6:20 am from MIGA cafe to drop back at Hostal Amiga at 14:20 pm which is 8 hours, the actual time spent in the archeological site was 90 minutes ; 30 minutes in Gate 1 and 60 in Gate 2. 2. It was a bilingual tour and the guide repeated everything in English and Spanish which wasted great deal of our time and made us disinterested in what the guide was speaking. 3. At 11 am the guide took the entire bus of the tourists to a nondescript restaurant for lunch. Imagine the lunch is not included in the packed and each had to pay for what is consumed by them. The prices were higher than any city restaurant. I had lunch appointment at Balcone del Zocalo so I just had juice. 4. It is obvious that this restaurant pays hefty commission to Amigo Tours due to which they force tourists to have lunch at 11 am at high prices. 5. During the 90 minutes the guide Mr David was giving bilingual talks on the history and wasted lot of time. I think we got barely 30/40 minutes to look at thesefamous ancient temples and the pyramids. Please avoid taking this tour. Avoid bilingual tours and avoid tours with self paid lunch. It is a rip off.

Bad structure, slow pace, unnecessary stops - waste of time and money - 1. Really poor design - the guide would say something in English and then the same thing in Spanish. This meant that the entire tour took twice as much time as it needed to. There should be one guide for the English group and one for the Spanish group. 2. They somehow had the worst tour bus in the world with no legroom between seats. 3. After Teotihuacan itself, the itinerary includes lunch at an overpriced tourist trap and a tequila tasting at another shop. Not related to Teotihuacan and not a good use of time or money. My recommendation: either book a tour that's given in only one language, or just take an uber (it's very easy to get them there and back) and do a self-guided tour.
