Amazing experience - It was an amazing place to visit. Our tourguide Diego picked us up at the hotel in Mexico City and showed us around the pyramids. Great guide, very relaxed vibe. Recommend to go early, then it’s nice and quiet.

HIGHLY recommend! - This was an incredible experience. Our tour guide wasn't just knowledgeable, she was clearly passionate about sharing her knowledge. The pyramids and surrounding structures are truly incredible. Photos absolutely don't do it justice and it needs to be experienced first-hand. We asked for a slight change to the itinerary and visited the museum with murals, rather than the main Teotihuacán museum. It was a lovely, quiet little museum with fascinating murals. Our guide and driver accommodated this without hesitation. One tip--bring snacks. Some are provided, but it's a good idea to bring some extras. Overall I highly recommend this tour. We learned a ton and had a fabulous time.

Unforgettable Teotihuacán Adventure with a Personal Touch - Our trip to Teotihuacán was truly amazing! Diego, our guide, shared fascinating insights about the rich culture and history of Teotihuacán, making every moment engaging and informative. He took us to the museums and then to the pyramids, where we got to experience the breathtaking views. Diego went above and beyond by taking us to buy souvenirs and treating us to delicious artisanal ice cream, which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Teotihuacán in a meaningful and memorable way!

Perfect half-day tour to Teotihuacan - Perfect private tour with two colleagues. Laila was a nice, historically and archaeologically fogged guide and Ernesto our reliable driver. Pros: No stops at souvenir shops and “typical” restaurants, but a great tour and personal Mexico tips from Laila. Highly recommended!

Great experience! - The tour was great. Our tour guide Omar is very knowledgeable of the history of Teotihuacan and we really appreciate his curiosity of Aztecs history. He spent time carefully sharing the significance of the architecture, the religion, the sculptures and the way of life of the occupants of Teotihuacán. He showed us little details at the pyramids that we would otherwise would have missed. His vast knowledge of Mexico City and the surrounding areas is impressive. We also appreciate his recommendations of interesting places to visit in the area. It was easy to work with Epic Journeys and we appreciate their punctuality!

Responsive and professional - What stood out to me about this company is that we booked a private tour somewhat last minute (around 9PM) the night before we wanted to visit the pyramids, and Epic Journey was able to quickly confirm us and get in touch with details for the next morning. Our tour guide, Omar, arrived 10 minutes early and took us on a comfortable car ride to and from Teotihuacan. He provided two bottles of water and two bags of chips for the road. The pace of the visit to the sites was just right. The tour included a stop at Mexicanitizmo, where you learn about how local textiles are made with agave fibers, the use of obsidian, and have a small tequila/mezcal tasting before you are invited to look around the gift shop. After we wrapped up the day’s stops, Omar offered to take us to La Cueva Teotihuacan, a restaurant inside a large cave near the pyramid site. It was overall OK, and worth a stop for the novelty and if you’re hungry.

Wish our guide had been more than just an Uber driver.... - We were really looking forward to this excursion but sadly our "guide" turned out to be an expensive Uber driver. While Diego was pleasant and knew his way around the pyramids, he spoke almost no English, was difficult to understand and had VERY LITTLE information to share with us, other than the fact that the pyramids were "very old". He attempted to pull up some facts on his phone but could barley translate for us to understand. We saw many guides with picture books, historical information and fun facts to share that appeared to be much more knowledgeable. We were super disappointed. When we got back to the hotel we learned more from the Pyramids' Wikipedia page than we learned from our trip. Definitely worth visiting the area but having a guide would have been awesome. Bummer.
