Worth the trip! - Our tour guide was simply amazing. Fabio, from Sicily. He did the tour in English and Spanish. Ensured everyone had a good understanding of what we were experiencing. I cant say enough beautiful things. It was my son's birthday celebration and it was magical from beginning to end. Definitely recommended it. Especially the restaurant.

Excellent opportunity to visit and learn more about Teotihuacan - If you're looking for a profound and unforgettable experience, a tour of Teotihuacan is a must when visiting Mexico. I recently had the opportunity to explore this ancient site, and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
After a 1hr drive outside of Mexico City, Our tour began with an informative introduction to the history of the city, where our guide shared insight into the mystery of its origins, as historians still debate who built it and why it was abandoned. Walking through the main thoroughfare, the Avenue of the Dead, with its massive pyramids looming in the distance, it’s hard not to feel a sense of reverence for this once-thriving metropolis.
One of the things that stood out to me during the tour was how knowledgeable and passionate our guide was. He didn’t just recite facts—he brought the history to life, weaving together fascinating stories about the people who lived and worked in Teotihuacan. His detailed explanations added a rich layer of depth to the experience.
The tour also allowed us to appreciate the artistry and precision of Teotihuacan’s engineering. The layout of the city is remarkably sophisticated, and the advanced knowledge of astronomy and mathematics that went into the planning of the pyramids and other structures is evident throughout the site.
In addition to the historical and cultural significance, the tour also gave us the opportunity to dine at la Gruta and visit a local merchant store to learn more about uses for Agave and Obsidian (volcanic glass) which is local to the area.
If you’re planning a trip to Mexico, don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring history of Teotihuacan—you’ll walk away with a new appreciation for the ingenuity of ancient civilizations and a deeper connection to the ancient world.

Amazing tour and guide! - The tour was terrific! Fabio is a wonderful guide—-kind, funny, extremely knowledgeable, and open to all sorts of questions. Fabio made sure everyone on the tour enjoyed themselves and was taken care of. His planned stops were informational and concise and his answers to more complex individual questions were fascinating and complete. Fabio knows a huge amount of information not just about Teotihuacan but about all American civilizations and their connections. He was particularly interested (and made us all more interested) in the exact missing pieces of history and archeology that, if discovered, would go a long way to clearing up the history of Teotihuacan. 10/10 recommend!
Thanks Fabio!

Teotihuacan was great, tour could’ve been better - The temples or pyramids are beautiful and majestic in their size. Totally recommend going to Teotihuacan.
The tour however could have been better organized. The itinerary ended up being very different from what was initially provided when we booked the tour. Started with breakfast at La Gruta restaurant (instead of lunch), then to the temples and last stop was a salesy shop. No time for lunch and we got back to our hotel at 4.30. Our group was small - 11 people - but it had both Spanish and English speaking people. Which meant the guide had to split his time.

Decent tour, but close to being a tourist trap - Decent tour of the Teotihuacan site and taking us to la Gruta restaurant. However, the tour wasn't well organised, and the explanations were basic. They also took us to their preferred vendors where we were charged at 30-40% above the cost you can find at even museums. I even saw the tour guide get a cut from one of the local vendors.
Then again, there are other tours that are worse that try and sell even more stuff to you. Therefore, although this wasn't a great experience, it at least got us to Teotihuacan and la Gruta. Just don't buy from any of the sites if you can avoid.

We felt ripped off and un-informed - The tour guide stood by while we were being vastly overcharged for trinkets as we left the pyramids. We foolishly spent at least twice what was appropriate. She could have warned us or somehow interfered. The guide part was shallow and repetitive. Her answers to questions showed that she either didn’t understand them and/or that she wasn’t knowledgeable enough.

Truly Disreputable organization. Full tour of pyramids did not take place due to a tourist trap store stop. - Buyer Beware! Our tour did not include the full park (skipping an entire pyramid) but instead added a tourist trap stop.
