Beautiful quiet hike with amazing views and great tour guide! - Amazing trip well worth it! Alan was our tour guide and he was great - really friendly, fun and knowledgable. There is a grocery store near meeting point to grab breakfast but you also stop on the way for the bathroom and can get breakfast from a street vendor there. The journey there took around 1.5 hours with some amazing views on the drive up. We were given the option between an 8km or 12km route. Views were amazing. Wasn’t a particularly difficult or steep hike. The tour company offer some longer and more challenging hikes if that is what you’re after. I brought an extra layer but didn’t need it as was warm. They provide a backpack and plenty of snacks and water and a delicious sandwich which we ate at the top. On the way back we stopped at a small place for some amazing tacos, all included in the price of the tour. Drive back took over 2 hours due to bad traffic but not much can be done about that! Highly recommend this tour - made even better by the brilliant Alan!

Gorgeous hike - Alberto was an absolutely amazing guide. He was so funny and friendly and took lots of photos of us without being asked (we called him our paparazzi 😁). The hike was beautiful and the trail was easy, but the altitude can make it very difficult for some, even if you are fit. Really recommend this tour, thanks Alberto

Fantastic - This tour is fabulous and Alberto was a great tour guide. I was the only one on the tour this day and he customized the agenda for me in a way that was super helpful.

Breathtaking views - Get ready to see the most gorgeous views!! I really enjoyed this trip. Beware to my folks from sea level, the elevation is NO JOKE but the guide is so attentive to your needs. I’m from FL and was struggling with the elevation and he changed our hike route to accommodate. You get a nice packed lunch and a stop at a local restaurant on the way back to town. Beware the ride to and from is very long, especially with traffic. But over all breathtaking experience

Go meet Popo! - The trek day was amazing! We loved it. It was a tiny bit challenging sometimes, but in a rewarding way, mainly because of the altitude. But we felt really well taken care of, enjoyed fantastic views, the quietness that is so hard to find around CDMX and also learned a lot about nature and Mexico in general. The meet and greet with the volcanos, trees, birds was fantastic!

Highly Rewarding Long Hike - Loved the hike. I am inexperienced and the climb was hard, even with our guide slowing down and giving breaks. However, the trek was highly rewarding. The views were beautiful and we came to a point where Iztaccihuatl was right in front of our eyes. The guide let us know that our trek was one of the shortest, 14 km total. I would do it again, my partner said she would not.

Terrible tour operator Arnulfo and terrible viator customer service - Terrible tour operator Arnulfo. I got sick the previous day of the tour and requested the tour operator to move my tour date by 2 days so I can still do the tour while I'm still in Mexico City once I feel a bit better. Tour operator was so adamant and would not accommodate or help me in any way. It's just about money for them and not about keeping the customer happy or providing good service. Just horrible. Viator said they can refund me if the tour operator agrees or if I provide medical certificate, later they just refused they even said this and refused me to give a refund. Horrible experience
