• Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve - Experience Mexico’s hidden magic with an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon! Every year, during winter the Monarch Butterfly start their migration from the forest of Canada to the sanctuaries in Mexico. As it is not typical tourist fare, it is important to have a guide who knows the area well and can ensure that the entire trip will be a memorable experience.
  From México city, we’ll drive to the small and peaceful community “Matías Romero” (near Zitácuaro Michoacán). Here we’ll meet a VILLAGER who will prepare horses for us before guiding us through lush jungle to the Sanctuary of Cerro Pelón (from the side of Estado de México and Michoacán).
  Once we reach the sanctuary a forest ranger will give us an explanation of this fantastic phenomenon.
  By the end of the experience we’ll have the option to see some of Zitácuaro and eat at the market before making our way back to Mexico City.
