Hiking above 4000m with a true local - Great experience with a true local! We are quite experienced hikers but didnt know how we would have handled the altitude. With a smooth pace we managed to hike from 3900 to 4500m with a beautiful view, despite the cloudy weather. Aaron shared a lot of interesting information with us, I would definitely recommend!

Hard hike - great views - Really good experience hiking with Ariel. A difficult home for some no doubt due to the altitude - we found it tough at times, but worth the effort. Spectacular views. Hosts provided drinks etc that weren’t expected. Very pleased with this experience overall

Great hike - The trip was well organised from the beginning to the end. Our guide was really friendly and good at explaining the things while driving to the starting point from our hike. Further, he made sure that the hike itself went smoothly even though it was challenging at times since we had never been hiking at that hight before. Also, the driver did a really good job even though the road was bumpy.

Nice hike on Izta - The guide was very knowledgeable, adapted the pace to the fact that we are not acclimatized to the altitude. Extra care for safety was taken.

Enjoyable hike and experience! - Pablo was an incredible guide! I was picked up directly from the address I was staying at and enjoyed our ride up to Izta-Popo. Even though the weather wasn't cooperating in order to hike as far as I would've liked, I thoroughly enjoyed my hike and learned a lot of Mexican history from Pablo during my trip. He was friendly, polite, and patient while I took my time climbing in the high altitude. Thank you for an excellent experience!

A Fun But Challenging Adventure - I missed my hostel's Izta tour and was able to sign up for this tour at the last minute. The person who helped me was friendly, responsive, and informative. Ariel and Pablo were my guides for the hike and they were lovely. I was nervous it would be awkward with just the three of us, but it was fun. They spoke English very well, provided lots of interesting information about the region, and were experienced hikers. A few things to know about this tour: it's a fairly long journey to the start of the hike, including some very bumpy dirt roads. Be prepared for altitude sickness (especially if you're like me and signed up for this hike on your first full day in Mexico). Because of the elevation, the hike may be more difficult than you're used to. I was only able to make part way to our intended point on the volcano, but the guides were SO patient and understanding.

IztaPopo Hike - 100% recommended. My guide Ariel was super punctual and made sure I was comfortable in the 4x4 and offered refreshments from the very beginning. He warned me about the super bumpy ride and offered to stop whenever I felt like it but his driving was skillful even in the most uneven roads. He explained things and answered all my questions along the way and when we got to the mountain he made sure I was safe and walked at my pace throughout. We stopped a couple of time to appreciate the breath taking views and take photos. At the end, he also gave me a bandana. The perfect tour with the perfect guide!

Hiking Izta - I had the best guide from Unlimited Experiences. He is a mountain hiker & has been on this hike many times. He knew the route for getting to the park & came equipped with extra gear in case I needed it. I did use the helmet. He was very knowledgeable about the area, geological info of the volcano & climate. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. He helped me acheive my goal to reach Portillo 1 & we did it before the rain storm arrived. Highly recommend this tour company & Ariel as a guide. Hope to be able to so this again.

a private hiking tour to the Izta - Popo - Truly the best experience! Our guide Juan Pablo was very knowledgable and took good care of us, a true professional! Our Driver Saul was the best, most reliable! If you're thinking about hiking or you want a private tour and discover nature and volcanoes, I would highly recommend UE for your trip.
