Erg Chigaga - Day 1: On this drive from Marrakech to M’hamid we will cross the Atlas, the highest mountain range of Morocco and pass many picturesque villages. Lunch will be taken on the route. After 3.5 hours we are already in Ouarzazate, a smaller but very attractive city. We also visit Agdz and enjoy the Draa Valley area. We pass numerous palm trees and Kasbas. There is also an old Kasbah Tamnougalt, where we like to stop. Afterwards we continue via Zagora to M’hamid, where the desert begins. We spend the night in Mhamid in Bivoak next to the dunes and nomadic tents and camels. Dinner by the campfire.
Then it goes with the camels in the Sahara
M’Hamid - Day 2: Breakfast at Bivoak. Then it goes with the camels in the Sahara. You will be accompanied by real nomads who know the desert very well. Your companions speak French and / or English. The camels march together in a caravan, while you can get to know the wonderful world, slowly and at a leisurely pace on the back of these calm, fascinating animals. We will sleep next to a marabou, where you can really enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert, far from the stress of everyday life. The starry sky that seems so clear tells its own stories. Often music is made together and the romantic evening can end together in the silence of the Sahara.

M’Hamid - 3rd day: After breakfast we continue together in the direction of the large dunes of the Ezzahr. We have lunch on the way. The dunes of the Ezzahar are almost 300m high and if you climb them you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the sea from the sand of the Sahara. We are in a part of the Sahara that can only be reached on foot or by camel, but no longer by jeep. There we set up our camp for the night

El Gouera - Day 4: We have strengthened ourselves with a delicious breakfast and continue hiking with the camels through the Sahara Erg Essamar until noon. There is a well in the middle of the desert. Our camels are strengthened by the water of the well. Although the water is drinkable for nomads who live in the desert, it is no longer possible for tourists to drink due to the high salt content. Next to the fountain we take a longer rest and have lunch there. Then we continue hiking towards Chegaga. On the way we look for a nice place for dinner, where we can sit comfortably by the fire and then we spend the night either in a tent or under the starry sky.

El Gouera - Day 5: The landscape that we walk through is constantly changing. We experience a fascinating sea of sand with beautifully curved dunes and also the Hamada, the great stone desert. We cross the L’oued Laatache (“river of thirst”) and come to Bogran, a place where there are very beautiful dunes. At this quiet place you have a very good view of the surroundings. You can even see M’hamid in the distance. This is also a good place to have a meal and end the day.

El Gouera - Day 6: Today our little caravan goes to an oasis after breakfast in the warming morning sun. 40 date palms, a small river with fish, frogs and dragonflies. We can shower AT one of the fountains - a “desert shower” under palm trees. Strengthened, we walk or ride towards Chegaga - one of the largest dune seas in the southern Moroccan Sahara.
Chegaga is about 75 km from M’hamid. There we spend the night in a bivouac at the foot of the beginning dune landscape. The nomads also call this bivoak “Bivoak de Luxe of 1000 stars”.
Chigaga narch Todra Mountains to the Dades Gorges.
Dades Gorges - Day 7: In the morning we say goodbye to our camels, which we have grown to love, and to our desert companion, as they have to go back to M’hamid. On the other hand, we drive away from Chegaga by jeep and cross the small dunes and Lake Iriqi, a dry lake, and continue to Foum Zguid, a small village in the Sahara. The paved road begins there again. From there we will drive to Taznakht, where we will visit a cooperative that makes traditional hand-made Moroccan Berber carpets. In the afternoon we continue to the Todra Mountains to the Dades Gorges.
Dades to Marrakech
Ait Ben Haddou - Day 8: Breakfast in the hotel. Then we drive through a varied landscape towards Ouarzazate. There we can visit the Ouarzazate film studios, which are located here, and where famous films such as Alexander the Great, Babel, etc. were produced. There is also the famous kasbah Ait Benhaddu that can be visited. Afterwards we drive back through the Atlas and via Tizi n’Tichka to Marrakech, where we arrive in the evening. Arrived in Marrakech we say goodbye to you.
