Fun+Eating+Learning=Memories - Fun, dancing, learning + eating in Little Haiti. Abraham was our tour guide. We went to the Haitian Cultural vCenter, a bookstore that next day is going to host a book festival, Lakal ,--where celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelson, came to scout out the Miami food scene before he opened his restaurant, a Haitian market and an urban garden. We would love to take more of the Tap Tap Tours. This was the highlight of our day!!! Loved our tour in the festive gold cart!

Intro to Little Haiti - Great guide, great music and a fun way to explore Little Haiti. We stopped by the cultural center, a bakery, drove around the neighborhood, learned some history, and even got to visit a “farm”. Very enjoyable tour. This is a light intro to the neighborhood and made me want to explore further.

Fascinating history and culture tour! - We loved this tour led by a guide who grew up in Little Haiti! Had a chance to see an open air market, cultural center, bookstore, and to learn about the history and creativity of the community there.

I recommend - I recommend this tour to get to know history, culture and current challenges of this neighborhood. Abe is an exceptional tour guide, very passionate about his neighborhood. He's trying to save it from gentrification and over development.

Little Haiti - the Hidden Gem of Miami, 10/10 recommend tour!!!!!!! - Abraham was my tour guide. I told him I was interested in history and culture. First, he took me to meet a practitioner of traditional Haitian religion: Haitian Vodou. This experience was very cool. I had loads of questions about the religion and it was interesting to hear what the practitioner had to say. Next, Abraham took me to meet a linguist who opened the 1st library in Little Haiti. I met this individual and had an extensive conversation on Creole's history and development, Haitian culture, and language politics. In between various stops, Abraham would explain how Haitians came to America, why they immigrated, and how they developed their community in Lemon City. He explained how Lemon City became Little Haiti, took me to the Little Haiti Cultural Center, and introduced me to people who were vital to the establishment and advocacy of Little Haiti. He also took me to a Florida State Historic Site, a record shop in the community, a farm in Little Haiti, and the actual marketplace that all the residents go to. We ended with a delicious meal at Chef Creole. In the end, Abraham was gracious enough to drop me home in his truck.
Overall, I had a very positive experience. I highly recommend Abraham as a tour guide. He is phenomenal at explaining things. If you have lots of questions, he will attend to all of them! I wish the golf cart was working on the day I went, but it wasn't. I always felt safe and secure with my belongings on this tour. I never felt threatened on this tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in history, languages, and politics. This tour gave me a very good feeling of how Haitians reside in America and Miami. Little Haiti is definitely a hidden gem in Miami. One of the best tours I did here. Go with an open mind and low expectations and prepare to be blown away.

Little Haiti (Miami) - Cedelka is an enthusiastic and informative guide, who knows all the ins and outs of Little Haiti. We learned so much about the history of Haiti, as well as Little Haiti in Miami. We saw life in the moment, including shopping for groceries. It was fascinating to visit a real Haitian rural home in the middle of Miami. Cedelka has created and led what we found to be a real lived experience.

Fabulous local guide! - Fabulous local guide who knows everyone in the neighborhood and all of the history! He even works at History Miami museum. He coordinated a stop at a local store for us to try some Haitian sweets and beverages and has the cutest golf cart for the tour and microphone so you can always hear him. Very well set up! Great experience! We even made some great friends on the tour and had Haitian lunch after.
