A walking tour through the History of Little Havana - We met with Maria Cary P at the Bay of Pigs monument and got a great high level overview of the events that resulted in the settlement of so many Cuban nationals to Miami. The tour then shifted to tasting the flavors of Cuba in Little Havana. From the freshly squeezed juice to the croquettes, from the hand rolled cigars to the Havanera shirt shops we were immersed into the local culture and traditions. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you are in the Miami area and want to experience the sights and flavors of the Cuban community.

The perfect tour to know the colors and flavors of Cuba - Our tour with Cesar by Little Havana was amazing! Cesar is a formidable Guide, very friendly and fun. He told us everything about the history of Cuba and his own experience as an immigrant in the United States. In addition, showed us the best places and corners of this so picturesque and nice neighborhood. We love to try the typical goodies, the coffee and see how a real Cuban cigar is made. I highly recommend this tour.

Great moment - Immersion in Cuban culture success. Our Guide Kayan, very friendly, knew how to communicate his love of this community, depicting its history and arousing the interest of children. Very good time.

Awesome experience - This would not have been a good tour if we did not have Kayan with us. OMG, love him. He was attentive to detail , informative and very funny. He was interactive with everyone and made the tour fun. The tour is 2 hours long and we were in the heat, but Kayan made it fun. This was the best tour I've taken.

Not great - but not awful. - This truly was a mixed bag. Good: Little Havana is an important part of Miami’s cultural fabric and history. We learned stuff. A stop at a local bakery for samples of Cuban savory and sweet goodies was great. Meh: It’s a gritty neighborhood. Not unsafe (in daytime, at least), just a bit jarring. And smaller than we expected. After a few tour stops, the last of which felt like a not-subtle push to buy local goods, it became redundant. Not good: our guide was too scripted for our tastes. And she had a hard time answering basic questions that directly related to the tour (like, what’s the population of Cuba?). She tried, and she wasn’t unlikable. Just … canned. I can’t say I recommend against taking the tour. Just go with limited expectations.
