Jameson Distillery Midleton - Located in Midleton, around a 15-minute drive from the city of Cork visitors begin by watching an informative video that will introduce you to the story of Jameson who has been producing Irish whiskey for more than 240 years. Next take a walk through the old distillery in the company of an expert guide. Enter a 19th-century warehouse, which has been carefully restored with original features and now stores casks full of aging whiskey.
Finish up in the Jameson Bar, where all participants will get to take part in a comparative tasting. Learn how to distinguish Jameson from different types of whiskey. Everyone in the tour can then savor a complimentary glass of Jameson or a Jameson-based cocktail.The tour concludes here in the bar, where you can indulge in more whiskey tastings. The Midleton Distillery Experience is a fully guided tour which brings the stories of Jameson’s rich heritage to life. You’ll learn about the hard working people and field-to-glass processes responsible for the whiskey that bears John Jameson’s name. and our portfolio of iconic brands. Learn about the distillation processes and see the old kilns, mills and casks. Gain insight into the ancient art of making whiskey barrels, before finishing up in the Bar, where you can savor a complimentary cocktail. Also includes comparative whiskey tasting.

Great tour and experience - My recent visit to the Midleton Distillery Experience was absolutely fantastic, exceeding all expectations! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch, and a huge part of that was down to the incredible staff.
Our tour guide, Ambroise, was brilliant. Their passion for the distillery and Irish whiskey was evident, and they brought the entire process to life with engaging storytelling and a wealth of knowledge. Ambroise answered every question with expertise and enthusiasm, making the tour both informative and thoroughly enjoyable. They truly made the history and craftsmanship of Midleton come alive.
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the premium whiskey tasting. We were lucky enough to have Aoife guide us through this experience, and she was simply outstanding. Aoife's deep understanding of the different whiskeys was impressive, and she shared her knowledge in a way that was both accessible and fascinating. She expertly explained the nuances of each whiskey, from the aromas and flavors to the distilling process and history behind them. Aoife's passion was infectious, and she created a truly memorable tasting experience.
Both Ambroise and Aoife are a credit to the Midleton Distillery. Their expertise, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for Irish whiskey made our visit truly exceptional. I highly recommend the Midleton Distillery Experience to any whiskey lover, and if you're lucky enough to have Ambroise or Aoife as your guide, you're in for a real treat!

Fantastic tour and staff - Joe and Nessa were fantastic tour guides and whiskey experts with so much passion for the distillery and its history. Highly recommend the premium tasting after the tour. In the distillery shop, Tom gave us great advice and even MORE history in the whiskey vault with great local food recommendations for later.

Highly Recommend - Fabulous place. Very educational with the guide delivering an excellent presentation with a wealth of knowledge. Learnt so much. Went in liking whiskey, came out loving it!!

Great day out and a lovely tour - Fantastic tour around the old distillery. Very engaging and knowledgeable tour guide, think her name was Katie.
The grounds, bar and main building are beautifully maintained and the bar has a great selection on offer

Daddy's Candy Store - Our distiller and tour guide Alex was amazing! He even made it interesting for our 9 year old! Only Irish Whiskey tasting you need. We highly recommend and the small batch Gin was tasty too!

A great place to go. - The tour was wonderful and Abbie was wonderful. The history of the distillery and the actual equipment used on display was fascinating. We learned alot about the process of distilling. At the end we got to compare 3 different whiskeys at our tasting. I would highly recommend going here.

A must do if you visit cork - The whole experience from start to finish was flawless. You’re made feel extremely welcome from the second you arrive. We got there about 20 minutes before our tour started and had time to have a drink at the bar. As someone who wouldn’t be a big whiskey drinker I had the blackberry cocktail and it was absolutely fantastic.
Rory our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He was so knowledgeable and we all had great craic along the way. Any questions we had were answered as well as providing us with all the background of whiskey making and the history of the grounds. Massive thank you to Rory and all the lovely members of staff we met along the way
