Trading my surfboard for a saddle, I embarked on a horseback riding adventure in Migriño. Guided by the exceptional Jose Cedillo, I explored the desert and beach landscapes, discovering the beauty of Baja from a new perspective.
A Desert Welcome
The sun was just beginning to cast its golden glow over the desert landscape as I arrived at Real Baja Tours in Migriño. The air was warm, and the anticipation of a new adventure was palpable. As a seasoned traveler and surfer, I’ve always been drawn to the ocean, but this time, I was ready to trade my surfboard for a saddle and explore the rugged beauty of Baja on horseback.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly team at Real Baja Tours, and it wasn’t long before I met my guide for the day, Jose Cedillo. His warm smile and easygoing demeanor immediately put me at ease. From November to May, the chance to spot whales, dolphins, and sea turtles adds an extra layer of magic to the experience. While I didn’t catch a glimpse of any marine life this time, the sheer beauty of the surroundings was more than enough to make the ride unforgettable.
As the tour came to an end, we returned to the starting point, where we had the opportunity to review our photos and indulge in a tequila tasting. It was the perfect way to cap off a day of exploration and adventure. Despite a few hiccups with the photo transfer system, the experience was overwhelmingly positive, thanks in large part to Jose’s exceptional guidance.
