Highlights
  • Mykonos Town - After you have been collected from your pick-up location (your hotel or the cruise-ship port), you will walk with our guide in the labyrinth of the old town among the whitewashed buildings.
If you are lucky, find Petros the pelican, the mascot of Mykonos. You will have the time required for taking photographs.
  • The Windmills (Kato Milli) - Further up next to this wonderful area on the hill, you will see the Windmills of Mykonos facing the North. The strong wind Meltemi has helped the locals of the island to mill wheat . On many Cycladic islands, windmills are very common and they are made for the same purpose.
  • Little Venice - Every path you take on the island of Mykonos will lead you to the harbor of Alefkadra, where you will have the opportunity to travel far back to the history of the island.

Alefkandra is where Little Venice lies. In Little Venice you can admire the endless blue of the Aegean Sea.

  • Ornos - .Αgios Ioannis is a small tourist village in the southwest of the island, 2.5 km from Ornos. It is built in amphitheater and located across from Delos, combining natural beauty with excellent tourist accommodations.

  • Kalo Livadi Beach - As we continue our tour, we will be passing by some of the most distant beaches of Mykonos, named ”Agia Anna” and “Kalo Livadi”,arriving in the village of Ano Mera .

  • Ano Mera - Passing through the picturesque square of the village, which is bordered with outdoor tavernas and coffee shops, we will offer you a a light snack accompanied with a glass of tsipouro ( distilled Greek Spirit )

  • Agrari Beach - This is a long sandy beach, which, although popular with locals and tourists, still offers plenty of space for yourself. It’s usually split in half, umbrellas and sunbeds on one side, just sand on the other. It offers crystal-clear water and a more reasonably-priced restaurant, when compared to the rest of Mykonos.

  • Monastery of Panayia Tourliani - Arriving at the village of Ano Mera, you will visit the 16th-century cathedral monastery of Panagia Tourliani. It is named after the dome (tourlos) of the church and the blessed Icon of the Virgin Mary.

  • Church of Paraportiani - The lovely church of Panagia (Virgin Mary) Paraportiani is among the most photographed churches not only in Mykonos but in the whole world. It is located at the entrance of the Kastro neighborhood, right by the sea. Its name (Paraportiani) actually means standing next to the entrance door, meaning that the church was next to the Castle door.

  • Agios Ioannis Diakoftis - Agios Ioannis settlement is named after the small church of Saint John that is built on the hill overlooking the beach. It is one of the most privileged places of Mykonos Island because of the stunning view to the sacred island of Delos and some of the best hotels in Mykonos.

Amazing day in Mykonos with Iro and George! - Outstanding day with Iro and our driver George! Iro was an amazing guide while George navigated us through some really tight streets. Incredible trip to Mykonos where we saw the island and the amazing areas that make this place so special. This is a must do tour.

Great introduction to highlights of Mykonos - We loved this tour as it was a great introduction to the highlights of Mykonos. We covered so much ground. Would not be able to do this on our own, especially on a short stay. Renata was a joy to be with. She is a very engaging and knowledgeable guide, plus a local celebrity. Everyone knew her when we traveled around the island. She even has great friends you can stop and feed, and friends that will feed you some delicious treats from Greece and a special drink too. Renata helped us to know where we wanted to explore more on our own time and gave us an overview of the local custom and culture. We highly recommend this tour if you want to see a lot in a short period of time and be in good company with Renata.

Day in Mykonos - Petra was very nice and we got to see everything. I wish we would've stayed longer at some of the places but it seems to me that some cruises leave early and they try to fit a lot into the tour so that you see everything. It would be nice to have at least 2 days in Mykonos to fully take everything in. The tour was a really quick and fun way of seeing everything.

Mixed Feelings - This review is based solely on our personal preferences vs the entirety of the tour. First and foremost….our guide Katerina and driver Chris were exceptional. So knowledgeable and friendly. Five stars to them for sure!! Driving/navigating in Mykonos is a feat in itself. The vehicle was comfortable and felt safe at all times…..even on roads that were sketchy at best. Enjoyed to ride over to the eastern (less inhabited) side of the island. Stop at the little monastery/town square was charming and nice. Learned a lot of history of Mykonos on the ride….even if the scenery was a bit rugged/arid (most of what Mykonos actually is). Just not a whole lot to see for much of that drive. The next couple stops are where they lost us (personally). Another long semi treacherous ride to an off the grid beach, for a 30 munute+ stop. Was able to grab a cocktail (needed)…..but a beach stop (where you don’t have time or even preparedness to enjoy the beach/water) seemed off. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to the beach….but if I wanted a beach tour, I would have just booked one. This felt a little tourist trappy IMO. Shortly after a stop to feed some donkeys carrots (which was unexpected, but ok), a stop at a roadside taverna proved another misused chunk of time. Not a great or scenic area at all, and the tapas plate and local grappa style alcohol sampling was nothing special. Just felt like a weird use of time (to us). The last hour plus of the tour was very redeeming for us. A great photo stop with an amazing panoramic view of the city center/port was great, followed by a “drop off” near downtown. Tour bus/vehicles are unable to navigate the tight narrow streets, at which time we were informed it would be a 45+ minute walk back to the cruise terminal. We lost half the group at that point…..long hot day already, and they opted to be just dropped off directly back to terminal. Sadly they missed out on the best part of the tour (in our opinion). The walk to the windmills and thru the narrow white washed buildings/shops on cobblestone paths were what we actually came to Mykonos to experience. Would have liked to have spent ALL the time that felt sort of wasted earlier in the day (beach stop and roadside taverna) in Little Italy/Downtown, enjoying shopping, eating, and drinking in that amazing scenic/bustling area. Again, that was our personal preference (maybe not be for others). If we were to do it all again (considering the relatively short amount of time we were actually in port….less than 12 hours) we’d skip this tour and focus on the city center and Little Italy (take a cab ride over and walk back to terminal)….or even mix in a beach club or boat ride to make it a full day experience. Just our .02 cents.
