December 24 trip - The train trip was from StMoritz and we started in snow watching x-country skiers adjacent to the track. Train then started the climb from about 2000m to 3000m and the scenery became whiter. In the train it was very warm and many windows were opened to aide photos. After about 90 mins then descent starter into greener valleys. After about 150mins we were at the end of the line. The scenery was spectacular and would not hesitate on doing again. In winter again or summer. Recommend.........

Bernina Red train (not express and only one train experience only) - Overall, good experience, however, I would like to add that this is a ONE train experience as the title can be misinterpreted when you read “two train routes” does not mean you will travel both the Glacier and the Bernina Express. In reality you get picked up in Milan (two options pickup point), you arrive at St Moritz at around 11-11.30am. In between the 4 hours drive, there was a photostop of a breathtaking / beautiful scenery. At Moritz, you get some briefing information where to meet up (1.50pm) and then the Tour Guide takes you up to the main town (you walk for a bit, take the escalator) and from around there, you can take your lunch. Things there are general expensive but I met up a couple and we ended up taking our lunch at a hotel. It was a very good option. After lunch, we added some time to walk back down to the meeting point (1.50pm) where Bernina red train was awaiting. This is not the Bernina Express where you get a panoramic view due to the style of the window fittings. It is also where you can get first class dining but these I believe costs more. The train journey, I have to say, excited both young and old. The scenery was breath tasking. The journey for our tour stops at Thusis where the coach was awaiting to take us back to Milan. This was around 3pm? So, what do I think of the experience? Disappointed because it was mis-read as `’two train routes” or two train experience, possibly not because the journey back to Milan was around 4 hours and adding another train experience would end up very late. Our coach reached the pickup points in Milan at around 6.30-7pm. The thing I would change is your product title to make it clearer as it can be mis-interpreted but I could have messaged the operator to get this clarified. Overall, if you as reader, have read this, you will no doub t have decided what to do! I would recommend take another journey but maybe do the Bernina express or the Glacier express on your own. I took this tour to take the hassles of organising the whole journey which was worth it, there was around 44 people on this tour and everyone was friendly. This was 31/12/2024. What a way to end 2024! Happy New year 2025!
