A Magical Alpine Adventure - The Swiss Alps Bernina Red Train and St. Moritz Tour from Milan is a breathtaking experience that combines the charm of the Swiss Alps with the luxury of St. Moritz. This full-day excursion is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a memorable adventure.
The highlight of the tour is definitely the Bernina Express. The journey takes you through some of the most stunning landscapes in the world, including alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and snow-capped peaks. The train's panoramic windows ensure that you don’t miss a single view, making every moment photo-worthy. The climb to the Bernina Pass is particularly awe-inspiring.
After the scenic train ride, you arrive in St. Moritz, one of Switzerland’s most glamorous resorts. Here, you’ll have time to explore the town, known for its luxury boutiques, elegant cafes, and beautiful lake. A walk along Lake St. Moritz offers stunning views, and if time permits, visiting the famous Hanselmann café for a hot chocolate is a must.

Loved IT! - It's a long day but totally worth it!
Fantastic scenery (loved the cows).
We would have liked to have more time to explore St Moritz, maybe an overnight next time if possible.

Beautiful trip - his was a gorgeous tour. The bus ride to St. Moritz takes a long time but it is worth it. We had time to eat lunch in St. Moritz before taking the train. The train was comfortable and you can lower the windows to take clearer pictures. Simone explained points if interest all during the trip and kept us interested. It is a long day with the bus ride, but that is clear in the literature and necessary to travel this distance. The Alps were beautiful on a sunny day.

Excellent - This trip was awesome. I was worried about the amount of time spent in the bus, but it was not an issue. The drive was scenic, and the guide shared knowledge along the way.
We also had enough time to explore St Moritz before boarding the train. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it

A Long Day - A very long day. Much of it was spent on a bus. The day felt like it could have been condensed a bit more and sequenced better to shorten the length. The train was fantastic. I left wishing we had just rode the train for a few stops and gotten off and returned, rather than riding the length of the railway.

Not a good experience - We were really looking forward to this trip. We knew it would be a long day. Our hotel pick up was scheduled for 6:30-6:45 am for transport to the Milan Visitor center, of which there are two. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the visitor center near the Sforza Castle, and waited about 30 minutes in the cold for our bus to arrive, 7:00 am. After getting on the bus we were told there would be another stop, which was the visitor center at Central Station. This stop is actually closer to our hotel. At 7:30 am, the bus left for St, Moritz. We could have been picked up from our hotel at 7:15 and made it to the central station visitor center by 7:25 at the latest.
The bus seats were actually rather comfortable given the 3 hr plus ride to St. Moritz. After 90 minutes, we were given a 20 minute comfort stop. The Stop Bar, where the we were taken had very few stalls for women, so waiting in line took a large part of the evolution, there were 49 of us on the bus. The day started clear and we saw some beautiful scenery and countryside on the way to our destination.
Veronica our guide mentioned certain points of interest along the way, but did not take advantage of our long ride to discuss the interesting history of St. Moritz, nor did she mention what we should try to see during our two hours in town.
Upon arriving in town, the bus driver dropped us at the train station (11:30) am. Veronica got the group together and emphasized meeting back “at this point” at 1:30. She then lead us into town first stooping at the Lauderbach Chocolate shop. Veronica, could have just pointed out the shop, and saved the 25-30 minutes it took for many in our group to make their purchases. But then, she appeared to be rewarded with a significant gift of candy from the shop’s proprietors. We now had 90 minutes to spend in St. Moritz, which required a lunch stop, since our day started at 6:15 am. Veronica actually told us the wrong place to go for lunch, the place she said was a tavern where we could get sandwiches or a burger was actually the City Hall. My wife and I we ended up at Hanselmann’s Conditorei, where you can by sandwiches from their case or order off a menu. We ordered, which took way too long, but the food was delicious. We essentially had no time to explore St. Moritz.
So we walked back to the train station to meet up with the group, who all were surprisingly on-time! The weather had closed in and was snowy, which did not bode well for seeing the beautiful scenery on the train to Torino. That was the case, most of the ride the there was maybe a couple hundred meter visibility---not much to see. We were all in one 2nd class car and the seating was VERY tight and uncomfortable.
When we arrived in Torino, Veronica hustled us off the train, towards the bus. We passed three sets of toilets and she directed us to another set near the bus saying, “we are not stopping on the way home”. No stops for another 3 hour plus bus ride—outrageous! And the toilets were old and pitiful.

Minimalistic ..... - We really found this trip to be the most basic trip of our whole trip. Despite being an english guided tour, the guide (Veronica) gave next to no insight, english was horrible. Rushed the group and at the end of the train ride, accidentily split us (& a few others) from the gorup and we alsmost got left behind as we didn't know where she went (Yes, I just said I couldn't find a big bus, but it was a large station & not native). Poorly run / Train nice - We found this tour to be rather basic. Since we were not interested in pieceing this together by ourselves, we booked this tour. Our guide was lackluster (Veronica from Zanni Viaggni Tours).
She gave very little commentary or insight to the tour. Her english was very difficult (it was an english speaking tour). All disappointing but not show killers). The stop to see Lake Cuomo was at a truck stop from the opposite side of the road making viewing challenging.
Just before the end of our train ride , Veronica mentioned that we would be exiting the train and go immediatley to the bus. No rest room break. Guess what, 60+ (a full bus whatever that was) got up to use the rest room. We were among the last. She took the whole group and exited the train and left. As we finished and the train doors shut and the train took off again. We were able to hit the emergency stop button and got off but then had huge difficulty in locating the group as we did not know where the bus was (around the corner and through a tunnel). We had to ask another tour guide maybe where the buses were. She helped out and luckily we were not left behind. No thanks to her.
Lousy & would not use them under any circumstances. This was the absolutley most basic that could be run.
