Inspiring cultural break from the Duomo crowds - Definitely worth a visit. The place is not too crowded during weekends, so it is a good cultural break from a bath in the masses at Duomo. The draft of the School of Athens by Rafael is a must see, amazing how well planned this painting was and how many curious changes he made to the final version in the end.

Pearl in the heart of Milan - A true institution in the field of Milanese museums, yet somehow manages to escape the hustle and bustle of mass tourism: the Pinacoteca, in fact, is located a few steps from the Duomo, yet all around you breathe only peace and silence, as if you were in another city, to the point that on a summer Saturday there was not even a queue to enter. The same feeling of quiet contemplation is also felt in the exhibition halls, where immortal masterpieces of art are offered to the viewer. Don't miss the Fruit Basket by Caravaggio, the cartoon of Raphael's School of Athens - with an entire dedicated room that allows you to come face to face with the work of the master of Urbino, so close that you can admire the individual details of the drawing - and of course the sheets of Leonardo da Vinci's Codex Atlanticus, but the entire exhibition itinerary deserves, as does the palace itself that houses the Pinacoteca. In a nutshell, a pearl in the heart of Milan, essential for art lovers. Only one flaw: on the site there are numerous ticket formulas with various reduction categories, but they are not selectable when purchasing online.

Beautiful and interesting - Unexpectedly really good. I thought it might be quite nice to visit but it is better than that. The art is beautifully lit, and some of the curiosities, (such as a lock of Lucrezia Borgia's hair) are really interesting. The audio is great. It tells a story. It doesn't just spit out facts.

Why waste your time at the Duomo when you can be here! - Got there just after opening at 10:00. It was an amazing and humbling experience. Start on the first floor which is up about 40 large steps (take the elevator if you can). There are some amazing paintings up there- Titian, Botticelli, Ghilandaio and a really cool tracing for the Athens Academy at the Vatican. Then go downstairs and see Leonardo: we had him all to ourselves. Honestly, steps from the Duomo and arguably way more important. Please go!

Very Nice - We enjoyed having the audio guide to help us through the museum. There are some very unique works on display and the building itself is beautiful. We had a rainy afternoon in Milan and this was the perfect activity!
