Hidden culinary gems in Milan - Our guide Marco was very personable and so knowledgeable about the history of Milan. His love for food was clear as he took us to some unique restaurants off the beaten path and shared his personal favorites with us. We highly recommend this tour.

Great experience - Francesco was a wonderful guide. There were only two of us, probably because of the rain, so we had a lot of flexibility on the route and what we choose to taste. He was full of good information about Milan. He was very knowledgeable about the food scene in general in Milan. He offered us extra tips for places to go for different varieties of pizza, coffee, and other pasta restaurants. He explained the labeling and production rules and how that keeps Italy's food so close to its original roots and so fresh and tasty. It was a great experience for a solo traveler, a lovely way to explore the city and have dinner.

a Beautiful day in Mlan - A very personable tour guide, Marco shared historical information about Italy, Milan, Sicily as well as an intimate knowledge of many of the entrepreneurs providing the "street food" which we sampled. A fabulouse day!

Enjoying the amazing food of Milan - We recently did a walking food tour in Milan, and it was a fantastic way to experience the city's rich culinary scene! We kicked things off with an excellent coffee, the perfect start to a day filled with amazing food. One of the highlights was a stop at Materia's pizza place, where we enjoyed a variety of small pizzas paired with some lovely white wine. The combination was incredible, and I can still taste the flavors! Our guide, Marco, was exceptional. With his background in history and literature, he provided fascinating insights into Milan’s cultural and culinary traditions. On top of that, since his brother is a chef, Marco was also deeply informed about the nuances of local food. This made the tour both educational and delicious! What made the experience even more memorable was the company of fellow travelers like Randy and his wife Lil from New York. Their lively conversation added to the overall enjoyment of the tour, making it feel like a shared adventure. If I had to offer any critique, it would be that I wished the tour was even longer—there were so many delicious foods to try! But overall, it was well-paced, and each stop gave us a good amount of time to savor the food and the atmosphere. For anyone visiting Milan, I highly recommend this tour, whether you’re a food lover or just want a unique way to explore the city.

Great tour, great food and awesome guide! - The guide Francesco was extremely knowledgeable about Italy. Be prepared to walk, which was fine with us. Food was fabulous and while eating he would explain where it came from and different facts about the region it was from. Would definitely recommend him!!

A great intro to the food and sights of Milan - Great food tour - lovely selection of meats, cheeses, breads and gelato. Arrive hungry! Francesco was a great guide, able to tell us about food from across Italy, not just Milan. And he threw in some cultural and travel info to help us navigate the city during our trip😊

A Great Experience - This was an excellent food tour experience. Marco was exceptionally informed, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We visited areas of Milan that my wife and I would not have gone to had it not been for Marco. Not only did we eat GREAT FOOD but we visited other interesting cool spots along the way. My only recommendation would be to add one more pasta location along the route, other than that it was a perfect tour and again, if your lucky enough to get Marco as your guide you’ll be in for a great learning experience. Grazie!!

Hidden treasures - Our tour guide, Marco, took us to some hidden treasures, both culinary and historical. The stops were mostly at small family run restaurants which offered an authentic Italian food experience.

Ask your hotel concierge for suggestions - I will start by saying the guide said he does not choose the places we would visit and hoped no one ran out of food. Well, why did I pay for this tour was my first thought. Are they not made aware in advance? We always try to squeeze a local food tour of every place we visit. This was the worst one we ever participated in. Our tour was bumped up 1/2 an hr from our scheduled time. Besides the Duomo area, we walked by areas that reminded me of a NYC and not Milan. We did another tour next day and visited way better areas. We basically had cold cuts and sweets. Nothing I can’t get elsewhere so I would not recommend this tour. Although other reviewers had better food choices perhaps. First stop was an ok sandwich (I get that in the States) second stop more cold cuts and cheese (nothing original and not that good) then next stop was a choice of cannoli or arancini. I told my husband to try an arancini. We have Italian in laws with stores who import products from Italy so I am not a stranger to the cuisine and I love them. My husband said it was hard as a rock and did not like it. Cannoli was not worth the calories. Last stop gelato, nothing special.
