PRIVATE TOUR OPTION: Upon reaching Varenna, take your time to capture unforgettable photos of this charming fishing village. Then, depart for St. Moritz or Tirano.
- St. Moritz - Arrive in St. Moritz or Tirano and board the RED TRAIN, renowned as the most beautiful train in the world. This train “climbs the mountain,” tackling slopes of 70 per thousand and reaching heights of up to 2,253 meters, the highest altitude attained by a train in Europe. The St. Moritz-Tirano route offers a chance to marvel at nature’s diverse beauty.
- Tirano - In the evening, arrive in Tirano (or St. Moritz, depending on the departure station) and return to Milan.

Breathtaking spectacular - Private tour of Varenna was great, the tour Mara was very knowledgeable .The tour up to St Moritz was great The tour guide Anna was fantastic and the bus driver Claudio was so great driving those hairpin turns. THE BEST was the train ride on the Bernini express. Seeing g ztge Swiss Alps. Unbelievable. Loved it all.

Beautiful majestic views, lived every minute. - THE TRIP WAS SPECTACULAR. THE SCENRRY WSS SO BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC BUT THE TOYR GUIDE Anna was great, so knowledgeable funny and we felt like family with her. The bus driver Claudio was the best making those 30 hairpin turns going up St Moritz. Our tour of Varenna was also wonderful ❤️ Mars was very good and the driver Filippo was very personalbe and a good driver. The whole day was very memorable and I would suggest it for everyone.

Lake Como and Bernina Train. - Clara the guide is exceptional! Fabrizio the driver took us back to Milan safely. Excellent experience. The tour in general is an amazing experience. The views are out of this world.

Spectacular views - The trip on the Bernina is 100% worth it, spectacular views, what was missing was the lake, supposedly because a guide got sick, but everything else is highly recommended.

Bernina Express - best train trip in the world! - It was an excellent tour! Very glad I did it. Was very disappointed though that Lake Como part was deleted last minute. I didn't have time to look around for another trip, so missed out. No idea why that was cancelled..... ???

This was our personal... - This was our personal experience, maybe its not the same for everyone but I believe its important for me to put it out there. We (friends) purchased this trip for 199€ each, group of 5, so we paid a pretty penny for it. We got picked up in Milan in a nice van and got driven to Lake Como (cute town but blah) , we only had 30-40 min to walk and EVERYTHING was closed cause it was pretty early, soo, we got some pictures with the lake. After that they took us to St Moritz, the driver and guide were pretty nice but we really just talked to each other the whole trip, no actual real “guide”. In St Moritz we were given another 45 min to eat, shop, and look around. It’s unrealistic for anyone to accomplish anything. Pretty town though! Then the guide came back to get us to catch the PANORAMIC TRAIN, when we got there we realized that the company who runs this tour reserved a wagon where they seat all the people they book for their tours and another group from the same company had gotten there earlier and taken ALL the window seats. Families were spread throughout the wagon and had taken everything. Out group spent all this money to seat scattered throughout the wagon in aisle seats. How infuriating is this!?
Its not that hard, book a train/transfer from Milan-StMoritz and buy your own ticket, way better and cheaper.
Also, theres a better train with better windows and other stuff, the train from this tour is the cheaper kind.
