Amazing Tour of Lake Como - Amazing tour with a knowledgeable guide. Marco was excellent every step of the way. Travel was organized and simple. Would highly recommend.

The best way to see Lake Como - This was a fantastic, comprehensive day of seeing our most desired locations around Lake Como. Reza was wonderful, accommodating our every request to the best of his ability. We caught the train from Center Station to Verenna, then a ferry to Bellagio. We had a delicious lunch on the water, shopped and went sight-seeing for as long or short as we desired. Bellagio was amazing. Following that, we went on a scenic ferry ride to Como, enjoying so many vistas and views of villas. In Como, we enjoyed a cable car trip to the top of the mountain. The cue lines were very long for the cable car, and unfortunately the haze dampened our view. But overall, we were extremely glad we booked this tour. Reza was so friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Tour Experiemce - Marco was such a perfect guide for me and my 7 year old daughter; attentive, communicative, fun, intelligent and energetic are some adjectives to describe him. He promptly picked us up at our accommodations in Milan and swiftly got us on the correct train and then ferry. He was filled with information even while on the train. We had our backpacks with us, which were quite large and he helped to bring them to our Airbnb in Bellagio first before heading over to Lenno. We had such a fantastic day with him; the eatery and the gelato place he brought us to were stellar. The vistas, landscapes and sites he planned for us to visit were all breathtaking. I cannot say enough about what a wise investment this was for the beginning of our tour of Northern Italy and Southern France. My daughter and I will cherish the moments forever. Hopefully one day we can go truffle hunting with him!

Magical Day with First Rate Guide, Marco - Marco made this trip delightful. He met me promptly at my hotel and traveled with me from Milano to Varenna. He explained history and politics. He made me feel very comfortable and he was a warm ambassador of his country. The places we visited were simply breathtaking. Despite a rainy afternoon, every aspect of the long day was wonderful. I would not only book this tour again for myself, but I would also do the same for friends, family, and colleagues. I am sure that the sights of Lake Como and its grand villas would be special with most guides, but Marco elevated the experience to heights that I have not found paralleled in more than 59 years of international traveling. Do yourself a favor and reserve this day with him! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. And try to be well rested, as the day was very long...almost 12 hours. But blissful nonetheless!

Lake Como in perfect weather - Lake Como was beautiful on a sunny fall day. Our guide Marco was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was good to see so much if the lake and port cities In a single day.

Will definitely be going back! - Lake Como was possibly the highlight of my trip made all the more amazing thanks to my Tour Guide Marco. Marco is born and bred in Milan and incredible at what he does. As with my other City Unscripted Tours, Marco got in touch with me a few days before the tour to check in, let me know what he had planned (checking if I wanted to change anything) and where we were meeting. Right on time, Marco showed up and I saw the value in having him instantly. I walked straight onto the train and just went along for the journey, with Marco having organised everything. Having Marco plan the entire trip was amazing and meant I could really enjoy my time. Marco was on hand with history and stories the whole day, was a fantastic photographer and even was there to help me shop! This tour is a must do and even better with Marco! Highly recommend, especially for solo travellers.

A trip to remember - Lake Como Highlights - We chose City Unscripted for this day trip from Milan to Como, as we wanted to tick off few things from our bucket list and it turned out to be one perfect trip from beginning till the end - thanks to our guide Marco. We wanted to explore Villa Balbionella where awesome shots in movies like Star-Wars, Casino Royale were taken, and also Indian cinema stars Ranveer+Deepika got married here. We also wanted to check out Bellagio and also had planned a separate Amphibious car tour in Varenna on the same evening. No tour available online could meet all these requirements except this tour by city Unscripted and we are thankful to them. Marco was very knowledgable, punctual, fluent in English and above all he was a great friendly chap to travel with. He was patient, listened to our requirements, helped us with a ton of pictures and the day was so smooth with not a worry in our minds. All 3 of us explored the villa and marveled at its magnificence. Lunch at a nice stop in Bellagio and then the exciting amphibious car tour with Larioland (not in the scope of this review). Marco was with us giving us useful tips throughout and we learned a lot about Como, Milan, and Italy in general. We were a little late to reach Milan as it was a packed day full of exciting things, and Marco with his knowledge from doing Milan food tours pointed out some good eateries in Milan. We eventually ate in a Michelin star Indian cuisine Tara, as suggested by him. It was a great day that we will remember for the rest of our lives and above all we got a new friend in Milan. Absolutely would not recommend - Definitely not as described. Paid $2800 for someone to escort us on public transportation. The guide offered zero information or any sense of a tour. The guide even sat down and ordered lunch and a bottle of wine and expected us to pay for his meal. He was absolutely inattentive to needs of water / restrooms. Again, did not provide one ounce of geographical/ historical data. Spent 6.5 hrs of 8 hrs on transportation with no guarantee of seats. Viator nor the tour operator cared or offered any kind of rebuttal. It’s an absolute waste of money/ fraud. For what they charge- you can arrange your own train tickets / ferry tickets, This is not your if your want information or a tour.

Terrible!! - Confirmation Nº : 1529048103 Reservation Nº : 1143737811 Viator, another fraud on Service Delivery. I took a tour from Milan to Lake Como. They charged almost USD 900. They took me on a crappy train. Standing the whole way (1 hour). People eating even Burger King inside. People boards the train with a bicycle on board. Literally, VIATOR are white-collar thieves. I’m really disappointed in how and why you deceive people on the type and category of your tours and services. This is really a fact that must be solve and reimburse at least a part of the money. Again it’s not suitable to pay for a private and personal tour and the transportation for a one hour round trip on train it’s standing. The tour at Como was terrible as well instead of have time to walk and see the city we drop off the train walk to see two very low interest monuments to us instead of walking through the city and have fun over there. Then the tour guide don’t know the exact pier where we need to take the ship to Bennagio. When we arrive to Benaggio we take lunch and harry to take the ferry to Varenna, again instead of walk through the city and know more about that town. We arrive into Varenna early than it was expected and make a visit to a Villa/Museum that was far and very old. Nothing interesting, then going back to the pier location and instead of doing something else, he had NO initiative and interest and we loose one more time doing nothing till 30 minutes the train to Lecco departs. We went to the train station and just minutes away from boarding the train from Varenna to Lecco, we were told that the train was cancelled and that we would have to take three different buses to an intermediate town between Varenna and Lecco, and only in that intermediate town would we be able to catch the return train from Lecco to Milan. In the end, that never happened and we had to cross the lake from Varenna to Mennagio, from there take a bus from Menaggio to Como, and then take the train from Como to Milan. The tour guide was wrong, telling me that the bus from Mennagio to Como was at 7:15 PM, but the information given was wrong, as the bus was at 9:36 PM, which did not allow enough time to catch the last train from Como to Milan. This forced me to take a taxi from Mennagio to Como to catch one of the last trains from Como to Milan. That cost was €140. Who will reimburse me that money. You offer a first class service of schedule and tour guide and it was absolutely the opposite!!

Look for another tour - Via this booking you'll be allocated by a company with a "friend" who visited Como 2nd time, knowns no routes, no history, nothing. He would talk about his business ideas, hobbies, life in general and you'd know nothing new about the Como lake.
