A delightful small-group tour departs from Milan Central Station, offering a transfer by either train or minibus to the picturesque Lake Como. Upon arrival, participants enjoy a leisurely stroll through the enchanting village of Varenna and its surrounding areas. Following this, a 15-minute public ferry boat cruise provides a unique perspective of the stunning landscape.
The journey continues in a minivan along a scenic stretch of the lake shore, offering breathtaking views en route to a restaurant where guests can savor local cuisine (at their own expense, approximately €30 per person). Afterward, the tour explores a nearby, less-traveled region nestled in the magnificent Alps, with the occasional opportunity to visit a small local farmer or producer.
The tour concludes with a drive along another section of the lake, before taking the train back to Milan Central Station.
- Minimum age is 12 years
- Travellers must have a good physical fitness level and especially it is not recommended for people with heart problems or other serious medical conditions being a long day (11 hours) and involving some uphill walk and stairs.

This is the best choice for your Lake Como tour for many reasons. - We had the most enjoyable day with Luca. He is so pleasant and knowledgeable about Lake Como and the surroundings. He attended to every detail needed as we took the train from Milan to Varenna
We were in Milan and his tour started in Varenna so he made sure that we were greeted by a representative of his company to ensure that we are on the right train. Luca was right there as we exited the train and we had a picture of him to ensure that we were with the right person.
Driving through the hills around the lake, Luca was very careful maneuvering the vehicle with the utmost concern for safety.
We had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant that Luca recommended.
At the end of this very informative and interesting tour, Luca returned us to the train station for our return trip to Milan. Only one minor change (and it was for the better.). When Luca saw how many people were waiting for the same train, his comment was let’s go to the stop before Varenna so you are sure to get seats. He could have just dropped us off and said good bye but he took the time at the end of the tour to ensure that we were taken care of. The train pulled in, we thanked Luca and took our seats on the train to Milan..

Best Tour EVER!!!!! - OUTSTANDING!!!! This turned out to be a full service tour for us. Luca had someone standing by at our train station in Milan who not only helped us get on the correct train, but also boarded with us to keep us company until just before the train left. She even had us take a picture of the upcoming list of stations to be sure we would exit the train at the proper stop. Once arriving at our designated stop, Luca was right there at the door to our train car to be sure we didn't go astray. My wife and I ended up being the only ones on this tour so our "small group" became a private tour. Luca drove us all around Lake Como and the surrounding areas allowing us walk around and enjoy the various stops. BY FAR this was one of the best, if not THE best, tour we have ever been on!!! The Lake views are extraordinary and the service by Luca just as good. We will most definitely book more tours with Luca in the future when we are back in this part of Italy. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! Thanks for a great day, Luca!! We really had a great time!!

Great experience! Would recommend - Luca was a great tour guide! Took us to some beautiful locations and we got to try some authentic Italian food. He gave us some history about the locations we went to and really made the day great! Would definitely recommend.

Best lake como tour experience - We booked for a small group tour but were very fortunate that it ended up as a private tour for our family of four.
Luca was an amazing guide! His vehicle is spacious, clean and comfortable.
The tour was well planned and we enjoyed ourselves especially our kids. The views are amazing and he knows all the great spots for beautiful photos.
You don’t feel rushed, sufficient time in every location stop.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. Highly recommended! We hope to be back again.

Experience of a lifetime with Luca in Lake Como! - This tour was the most incredible trip advisor experience we have had in a long time. It was personally tailored, well organized and created memories that will forever be in my heart. The star of this tour was Luca, our guide who met us at the train station holding a sign to identify the tour. Luca is a local, a guy from the Como area, so he knew all the hidden spots that he shared with us. To add, he knew the shop owners where we visited, mind you, not to give the shop owners business, but to share a unique experience, as he told us we were under no obligation or pressure to buy anything. He knew the busy times and considered this in curating our journey for the day, gave us options to consider, and I was in awe at every single place we visited. Luca was full of history knowledge on top of being very easy going and a really fun person to talk to! We were really sad to end the journey because we had such a great day with Luca, and promised that we would meet again someday to do another tour.
A guide is not just a guide. A great guide connects with his travelers, knows the history and better yet, born and raised in the area. This experience was definitely the highlight of our trip in Milan. Please consider all the positive things I've mentioned and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a beautiful day Luca!
