- Museo di Castelvecchio - Castelvecchio (Italian for “Old Castle”) is a castle, now home to the Castelvecchio Museum.
It is the most important military construction of the Scaliger dynasty that ruled the city in the Middle Ages. Powerful and compact in its size with very little decoration, it is one of the most prominent examples of Gothic architecture. It has seven towers, a superelevated keep (maschio) with four main buildings inside. The castle is surrounded by a ditch, now dry, which was once filled with waters from the nearby Adige river.
- Piazza Bra - It is the largest piazza in Verona and one of the largest in Italy. It is lined with numerous cafés and restaurants, along with several notable buildings such as the Verona Arena, the town hall, or the Palazzo Barbieri.
- Piazza delle Erbe - It is the oldest square in Verona, and it is located in the area of the ancient Roman forum. In Roman times it was the center of political and economic life. Over time the Roman buildings werereplaced by medieval buildings. In 2012 it was considered the most recommended Italian square in the world.
-
Casa di Giulietta - Juliet’s house is a tower house from circa 1300. Popular tradition considers it the coat of arms of the Capulets, Juliet’s family made famous by William Shakespeare “Romeo & Juliet”.
.
At the beginning of the 20th century Juliet’s house was restored and opened to visitors. - Verona’s Cathedral (Duomo) - Sightseeing of the Cathedral. Verona Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It was erected after two Palaeo-Christian churches on the same site had been destroyed by an earthquake in 12th century, built in Romanesque style.
- Piazza dei Signori - It is rectangular in shape and on one major side stands the Palladian Basilica and the Bissara tower, while on the opposite side rises the Loggia del Capitanio (also by Palladio), the Palazzo del Monte di Pietà with the Church of San Vincenzo. The square is named after the residences of the podestà and the capitano, representatives of the Signoria di Venezia, which were located here.
