A beautiful way to spend the day - This tour was well worth the money, stunning scenery from the coach on the way to Tirano and then the most amazing train journey. Being in second class on the Bernina Express was even better than being in the panoramic carriages in first class as you can open the windows to take the most amazing photos. This was one of the highlights of our month in Italy.

ANDIAMO!!!!!! - I definitely enjoyed the Tour Bernini Red Train and St. Moritz from Milan tour because of the following: 1. Every step of the trip was on time! I am a flight attendant and am constantly reminded that on time performance is very important for customer satisfaction. 2. Our guide Lena was truly a ball of energy that did everything within her power to make sure we were engaged in the experience and that she was available for questions and concerns. A. Lena offered us her personal suggestions on what were some of the best things to do at each stop and I can truly say that though it was challenging to keep up with her. I can also personally say that her recommendation of the benefit of the amazing chocolate from LADERACH in St. Moritz, Switzerland was an excellent suggestion. I’m very happy I followed her advice. B. Lena’s command of the both the English, Spanish and Italian language was amazing and she repeated certain Italian words so that they stuck in my brain. Most memorable being Andiamo. 3. Unfortunately, I did not write down the driver’s name but they were extremely professional and made me feel safe and secure. Also appreciate that they oversaw the security of the things that I left in the bus. I had brought my commuter and all kinds of accessories for my Canon camera that I am very happy I did not drag around for the whole day (just half). 4. There were two days worth of experiences collected into one long tour. My only regret is that I did not get a full ten hours of sleep before the tour, and I recommend any one taking should get a full nights sleep before you go.

Worth it - Amazing views and landscapes. Our guide was fantastic. She explained many interesting and relevant details, in addition to offering practical help throughout the tour. The bus driver was phenomenal! Bravo for handling the Maloja Pass with such serenity.

Beautiful scenery - Como lake is beautiful and a nice boat ride. It’s a very long tour. The Bernina train ride is stunning. Be careful of the season in which you travel as many of the shops and restaurants during our free time were closed. The guide was fine and knowledgeable. I thought we took the English tour, but they did both English and Spanish so it was a lot of talking.

Beautiful but stressful - The view was amazing. If you can, find some way to take this trip. However, communications and meeting location information on all the Viator trips in Europe are pretty horrendous. On this particular trip, the meeting location says”on the right corner in front of hotel. Well…… there are 2 right front corners depending on if you are looking at the hotel or facing away. There were many, many tour buses so knowing if you were in the right spot is difficult. Some tour guides were very vocal and calling out for their customers. Our tour was not. They stayed in the bus until the last minute and then came out quietly and started checking passes. This would have been easy to miss if we weren’t searching so frantically. Other tours were calling out peoples names and checking them off as they entered the bus. On this tour, everyone just kept crowding to the front and as you are getting closer to departure time, you don’t know if you are at the correct tour until you get to the front to have your name checked by the guide. This is supposed to be vacation, not a stressful event to see if you are in the right place. There was no sign or placards that you could check to see if this was the name of your tour and all the different tours were going to the same place so you really are guessing until you finally get your tix checked and the guide finds your name. While the sites are beautiful, the ride up to st. Moritz is on a very long switch back road. If you are the least bit car sick….. you are not going to enjoy this. There are other routes, although they might not be so pretty. I have a strong suspicion that the bus had an exhaust leak. When the bus was moving slowly or stopped, I had a severe headache. When it was moving at speed, it seemed to go away. Lastly, people are going to open the windows on the train. Fortunately we had moderate weather even though it was raining. On a cold day…. This would have been miserably cold as the windows are huge and the train traveling at speed creates quite the wind tunnel. If you go…… dress warmly!! The guide was good but again, due to a poor process, checking in was stressful.

Complete trap. - 1) Meeting with the disorganized and late guide. Big queue and SONIA demanding that we make queue to give information if it was the right bus. There were several others already leaving and we needed the information if the queue was right. It was rude to me and others. 2) The announcement expressly said that the train journey was going back and forth. But the return was on bus. 3) Travel back from 3h without stops, extreme discomfort, onibus without bathroom. 4) Promised the stop at the sanctuary in Tirano. But the stop was at the station, without mentioning the sanctuary, with time only for snacks. The experience promised was not the one provided.
