Best Milford Sound tour - Ive been on many milford sound cruises and the pure milford had the most comfortable boat and the best commentary. I would call the boat luxurious. The stunning inside areas, glass roof were very comfortable. However, i loved the front bow and seating, and the upstairs outdoor area which was covered, so out of the wind and rain but still outside. The upstairs open deck was great viewing as well. The commentary was in english and was very very thorough and interesting. The hot drinks were appreciated. Also the boat was so smooth, even when we went closer to the tasman sea the wave movement on the boat wasnt even noticeable. I highly recommend this cruise. We had plenty of space and never felt crowded.

Stunning Milford! - We booked the 9:30am cruise with Pure Milford. An awesome experience! Well worth the journey! it was a beautriful morning with clear blue skies - mountains are majestical. Staff are professional with a humorous commentator who gave us an interesting account of the region. Briefly saw dolphins and one seal perched on a rock. Highly recommend.

Glad we chose Pure Milford - We have recently returned from a month touring around New Zealand and it’s safe to say that our boat ride around Milford Sound with Pure Milford was a highlight. The captain made sure to point out anything of interest (and there was plenty to point out…), including when dolphin were swimming in front of the boat. The natural scenery was absolutely spectacular, and the captain made sure to allow enough time for people to take photos, as well as adding fantastic insight.

Best of the Milford Sound Cruises IMHO - A great cruise with a great crew. There are several cruises you can choose from. From the boats I saw in the harbor, your choice is a much larger and crowded ship, and a smaller, much older vessal. The Pure Milford cruise line, and the Gem of the Sound is right in the middle. It seemed to me to be the most modern and newest of the ships in the harbor and although there were quite a few people on the ship, it wasn't crowded. There was plenty of room on both decks to take pictures and room inside the ship along with free hot coffee, as well as some other refreshements you could purchase. The crew was friendly and the cruise overall was well managed and organized. The boat was modern and relatively new, and the captain did a great job of narrating the journey of about 2 hours. Overall I would recommend this cruise, although I did not take the others, but in my observations, I think I lucked out on the choice.

Great cruise - This was such a beautiful experience. The crew were so friendly and the captain very knowledgeable about the area. The boat had a cafe on board with limited supplies and a free coffee machine. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this. One thing I noticed was this cruise had smaller capacity which was nice the others had stacks of people on board.

Great experience through an unique landscape - It was a remarkable experience. The boat left and came back on time. Accessibility is good, even for wheelchair. The crew was very helpful. We didn't know we had to pick up our boarding tickets at Viator counter at the terminal.

Timely, friendly Cruise - We were able to make it to our cruise right on time due to road construction stops and our own stops while driving. Give yourself lot more time than what Google map estimates. Cruise team were all very friendly youngsters. The guy who gave running commentary for 1:30 hours nonstop was full of interesting info with historical and scientific facts related to what we were seeing. Overall cruise was an hour long ride between mountains/ fjords visiting two waterfalls closeup. It was a mixed climate autumn day with partly cloudy, little rain and windy, in early March 2024. Overall great experience while at NZ.

A must do, but not the most stunning fjords - The trip was well organized and easy to participate in. The boat has limited top deck space and everyone vying for a rail. There's only one coffee maker, so the queue can take up to 15 min of your precious time. The drive to and from Te Anau was truly a highlight.

Too expensive.... - Too expensive. Didn’t see that the price was in randomly in US $ instead of NZ $ Nice trip, but there are other agencies with cheaper options.
