Living in a fantasy reality - It was raining heavily the night before and most parts of our drive till little after Teanou. We thought this will take a big toll on our beautiful cruise trip but jut the opposite happened. We got picked up by a shuttle bus from the coffee shop at the car park. And thousands of small waterfalls were there instead of 2! We stopped at monkey creak and mirror lake after the Fiordland national park for some photos. The cruise itself self was amazing! Take a rain jacket with u so u can enjoy going under the waterfalls.

Spectacular Waterfalls, Mist, Mountains and Fun! - The views were spectacular, from the small waterfalls to the large, plus the "temporary" waterfalls which were blown back up as mist before they could land! It had rained in the days before, which made for many more waterfalls and a bit of a choppy and exciting sea. We took the early cruise, extra special with only 28 passengers! Our very knowledgeable captain provided lots of interesting information. The coup de grace near then end was being taken into the mist of a large waterfall while listening to the Maori legend about it - you'll have to come to hear the legend!

Five stars to Southern Discoveries Milford Sound cruise - The Southern Discoveries Milford Sound Cruise is packed with amazing views and very interesting nature details of world heritage Piopiotahi (Milford Sound). We saw marine life and absolutely spectacular scenery. Don't be fooled by claims that this trip is over-crowded. The boat was spacious and the tour was very nicely organized. Do be prepared to walk from the parking lot to the dock - it's a bit of a walk, but clearly marked. The restaurant also serves nice food for before and after the cruise. Here are just a few sites you will see: Mitre Peak, Bowen Falls, Sterling Falls, the entrance to Milford fiord from the Tasman Sea, a known fault line through the fiord, fur seals and dolphins. Bring a hat with a leash to your collar and sun screen!

Enjoyed it! - On the way to the boat it rained all the time, but on arrival it became dry and the sun broke through. Because of this we saw beautiful waterfalls! While sailing we got extra text and explanation, this was very informative. We enjoyed it!

Very weather-dependent,... - Very weather-dependent, it was raining the entire time for us. Still beautiful and the rain made the waterfalls more full. Free hot water and coffee onboard which was nice. However, we didn’t see much wildlife and it was hard to hear the tour guide unless you were right next to them. This tour also seemed fairly crowded. Would consider Doubtful Sound next time.

Happy - Good overall! Would reccommend. Our booking did not have that many people so it was nice to move around and not feel crowded.
