A great tour! - Honestly, this was an absolutely great tour! I would take the negative comments with a grain of salt, unless there was something very specific that went wrong. Complaining about the conditions of the road or the bus seems a bit out of touch with the reality when you’re traveling in South America, especially to a remote mountaintop that is difficult to access. The drivers are professionals and navigate these roads as safely as possible. Our tour guide was also so great and showed us an alternative trekking route straight to the higher peak that several of us wanted to climb. She hiked with us and gave us some coca leaves to chew to prevent altitude sickness. If you’re not an adventurous type then skip the mountain and find a tour only to the Valle de la Luna. But mountain lovers will enjoy it for sure! The views were magnificent and I feel that the tour was very affordable (probably because lunch is not included). Valle de la Luna was also a beautiful, unworldly place!

Best place I've seen - I saw many comments saying that it is dangerous that the road is bad, but I did not see anything of this, it was the best tour we have done in our 20 days of Bolivia, can go without fear, the car leaves you 200 meters from the summit, easy level to walk.

One of the kind - I took the tour a day after arriving la Paz. It’s not enough time to acclimatize myself to the altitude, not to mention to take this tour without preparation. It’s a great tour if you enjoy hiking and challenging yourself.

For all those who want to reach over 5000m without having to climb and with a magnificent view - Two extremes! Chacaltaya is a challenge. The altitude must be taken into account. 5400m is reached. By minibus on an unpaved road with very tight bends and considerable shaking, it goes up to 5150m, the rest has to be climbed, I (62) had to stop every 50 meters. At that altitude I still had 50% of the normal air pressure. But I made it and the view is spectacular 360 degrees. A highlight of my trip. The Valley of the Moon is almost 3000m lower. Bizarre formations. Unusual

It is worth the visit. - We really enjoyed the tour. Although it started late due to a public employee strike, that did not affect our itinerary. We had enough time at each stop. Both are very unique places and are worth a visit.

Good walk - I had a good experience from buying the tour to Chacaltaya and Valle de la Luna to the tour itself. It was worth seeing a little more of the surroundings of La Paz.

Bumpy ride - I won't suggest for anyone who has weak stamina and can't tolerate altitude sickness. Driving all the way to Chacaltaya is very narrow and bumpy and when you arrived to the base line of Chacaltaya, you have to hike it by foot to the top. Valley of the Moon is a different story. The formation of the rocks are unique and I wish we were able to stay longer.

Thrilling ! - You travel with a very small local private bus (not 4x4) over a Death-road to the top of 5000 meters. There is only a space of 0,5 meters between the bus and the abyss of 200 meters. thrillseekers from all over the world come to this place to have this thrilling adventure ! The road is very rocky so you get your massage for free ! When you arrive at the abandoned ski resort you have to climb 400 meters more on a steep hill, so adventure again ! We loved this trip 🤛🏻

Nice views but lacking information from the guide - The views on this tour were quite nice. The group was nice as well, so overall I had a good time. However I didn't feel like the guide was particularly eager to share any information, and most of the day the group wandered alone in the locations (which is generally not a problem, but then I'd rather not pay for a guided tour).
