We all had a great day! - Coming here was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon with my two kiddos, ages 8 and 12. Though they are on the older end of the target demographic, they both really enjoyed it, as did I! We spent 3 hours and could have spent another hour or so just running through the laser maze. I was impressed with the variety of activities to keep the kids engaged, and appreciated that several of them were good for adults as well (laser maze, 4D movie, reflex testing game, laser shooting ride, plus the very impressive Legoland representation of the the SF Bay Area). Located in a former Sears' space, this is a great example of how experiential retail can breathe new life into a mall that has lost an anchor store. Everything WAS awesome.

Great time for the little ones! - My 20 mo old and my 3.5 year old had a blast! We stayed 3 hrs but I think we could’ve stayed longer. Lots to do- my kids didn’t even get to the playground. Small cafe was reasonably priced which we appreciated considering there was no re-entry so we couldn’t go to the mall food court. This space is great for little ones. It was a great mid-year prep to know big Legoland will be a great option for my son next year.

Good place for younger kids (age 8 and under) - We were visiting the San Jose area and stopped in at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area back in July. My husband and I each paid admission; we clipped a coupon at the back of a Lego toy pack to get my son in for free (with regular adult admission). My daughter was under 2 so she also went in for free. It was a good facility for their age group but I would say it wouldn't hold an older kids interest for that long. My 1 year old spent her time with the Duplo and the bubble machine. My 4 year old watched two 4-D movies of 15 minutes each which were perfect for his attention span. These run on the hour and come with admission. The play structure, Imagination train ride and the Ninja Training all rounded out the pleasant experience.

Nice little spot, depending on the age and Lego-interest of your kiddos - Overall my kids aged 3 and 7 didn't spend as much time in here as I'd thought they would. Had I brought my now 7-year-old at age 4, when he spent so much time on activities like this at Legoland CA, I think it would have been perfect. Now he builds 18+ sets with ease so he's a bit beyond building stations like these, and my 3-year-old wasn't quite ready for them yet. But no matter, they both enjoyed it for the hour we were there, and depending on the level of Lego engagement with your kids they may spend more or less time. The good: - First off I'd bought tickets online for the wrong day! But the lovely guy checking us in made it no problem whatsoever, which I was beyond grateful for. 5 stars for him and the family-friendliness there, the workers in all the shops were really great. - The extra activities (the ride, 4D movie, and laser maze) were very much enjoyed by my kids (and by me to be honest). - The mini-cities were wonderful, and the little interactive bits (sending the subway trains back and forth, the basketball shots, jailbreak from Alcatraz, and football touchdowns) were little surprises most enjoyed by my kiddos. Wish I'd known: - The pirate ship climbing structure requires SOCKS. Mine wore Crocs so they couldn't go in the pirate ship. Wish I'd known that and brought some, I bet they would have liked it if they could have gone in. - It was smaller than I'd expected, so it took less time than I'd expected, and being from out of town and having our weekend activities scheduled around this one, I would have planned differently had I known it would be such a short visit. Overall it's a fun place, especially if you have a prolific Lego builder ages 4-5 I'd say. Had I brought mine at that age it would have been his heaven.

Not worth for money - Too small, you'll get bored if stay after 30 mins, not worth for money, extra charge $5 each for a 4D ride.

I learned the hard way... - I never got my tickets via email and lost $ due to having to pay out of pocket, a 2nd time paying for this experience, for my Autistic Son! We drove down, lost time & was met by several Obstacles!... Thankfully, additional funds were available or else this could have been a disaster and total waste! it was a major inconvenience however, My son Enjoyed himself being that he is NOT Privy to the cares of the Adult World! I want a Refund, I cannot afford to waste any $... 3rd Parties are NOT the way to go! I learned for future references to just deal directly with the vendor you are looking forward to doing business with! I wish I could have had a far better experience and could have left a more positive review but this is the truth about my personal experience...unfortunately!

HORRILE MANAGEMENT & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My family purchased the annual pass and brought my very excited daughter to come here. THEY DID NOT LET US IN. They saw my 6 year old daughter crying her eyes out and said she would NOT be allowed in. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, Manger Cat an older Asian women took a look at my daughter crying and said NO she could NOT go in. Manager told us “We are not allowed on ANY dates the kids are out of school.” HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT. ARE YOU KIDDING? I asked if we were not aware until now, why could they not allow one time entry for my crying daughter? She told us to BUY TICKETS, when WE ALREADY HAVE ANNUAL PASSES. Outrageous. This is a very unprofessional, and UNKIND place. Her telling us to buy tickets when we already own our expensive year pass shows how money hungry and uncaring to children they are. DO NOT buy the pass online it’s a HUGELY DECEPTIVE saying we could not come on Saturday and holidays. It’s Thursday and it is NOT a holiday. I will be calling corporate to let them know my crying daughter and her pass DO NOT matter to these people. HIRE A NEW MANAGER WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND THE KIDS.

Careful with your money and feelings - Horrible, they don't care about you! They made my niece cry because they were rude to these little 2 years old, also at the end with the pictures they stole from us 40 dollars at the album print and nobody knows how to help you or at least say something! The WORSE EXPERIENCE! No recommended!

Waste of money - Way over priced for what they offer. You're paying so much money for your kids to sit and play with Legos that you can do at home for free. One little ride that maybe a min long.. Maybe. Definitely will not be going back. I rather save the money and go to the actual Legoland.
