These jellyfish light up blue when they are disturbed, creating a surreal and magical effect in the water. In the summer, dinoflagellates are present, which are single-celled, planktonic organisms. They naturally produce light so when the water is disturbed in which they are in a bright blue-green light glows. When you kayak through the sparkling water, you’ll feel like you are in another world.
