Explore with a local, have an adventure! - This tour was a lot of fun. My husband and I had not explored Azabujuban, and the tour was a perfect way to highlight the neighborhood with interesting shops, yummy food, and points of interest. We tried some foods that we likely would not have tried or even have known to try with our two guides, and they helped document the experience with photos. It was a lot of fun. We visited a shrine, learned the customs for approaching, dropped by some cute art shops (one with handmade kaleidoscopes — including some made to look like ones from Sailor Moon!— and another with beautiful hand-dyed and painted fabrics), Nd we tried a lot of delicious foods (Taiyaki!) and had Oba-Chan cook us an omelette that was amazing. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo. ❤️

Such a Special Tour! - Wonderful tour and guides! We were planning to go to this unfamiliar area because of the recently painted Sailor Moon manhole covers when we stumbled upon this tour. We contacted the tour to ask about the manhole covers and they did a wonderful job in tweaking their tour to meet our needs while still showing us the area and giving us a taste of the local foods! Loved it!

A Wonderful Visit to a Traditional Japanese Neighborhood - We booked the foodie tour of Azabu Juban, mainly to visit the home town of Sailor Moon. Azabu Juban is a quintessential Japanese neighborhood that provided a taste of ‘real’ Japan in the heart of Tokyo. We visited mom-and-pop shops - toys, crafts, traditional foods (taiyaki, grilled meat, pastry, and even a neighborhood bar); It was such a fun town to explore! Since the tour was made up of our group only, our guide (Ellen) tailored the tour specific to locations of the Sailor Moon anime. She included scenes of the anime and nearby manhole covers. The effort to accommodate our group was greatly appreciated! It was very easy to book and communication/confirmation was the best we've experienced booking tours in the US and internationally.

Personal Rainy tour - Had a great time. Each of the shop keepers were overwhelmingly positive even if it was pouring rain we had extremely enjoyable experiences. Everyone spoke English very well and were very kind. The food was varied and a great selection that put us out of our comfort zones. I can’t recommend this tour enough.

Great experience!! - The guide was really down-to-earth and interestingly explained all the cultural significances, both pop and traditional, of the places we toured. I feel like we got the local experience with how friendly all the shop keepers were and especially the private dinner at Jūban no Obachan! Like a dinner with friends, it was so enriching and joyful!
