A Trolley Tour to be remembered - My husband and I flew to the historic city of Minneapolis for a wedding. As the city is known for its colorful history we were intrigued to find that the Minneapolis Trolley Tour was rated the #1 tourist attraction! We booked the historic landmark scenic tour (3 others offered) and arrived at 300 1/2 Clifton Avenue carriage house (built in late 1800's!) to the rear of 300 Clifton, just south of downtown and Loring Park. 300 Clifton turned out to be an impressive mansion listed the historic US Federal Registry! Totally unexpected!! At the tour office we met Norman, the tour director, purchased tickets and were escorted to the carriage house holding area containing a pool table, an old fashioned working pinball machine, vintage throne chair, and plenty of luxurious seating. This sightseeing tour was to be an adventure! Our group was ultimately greeted by the smartly dressed tour guide John, attired in an original tailor made trolley conductor's uniform replete with gold plated brass buttons. The heated trolley itself was a totally restored New Orleans trolley car with polished brass rails, Oriental carpet runner, solid oak trim, Victorian leaded, colored glass ceiling fixtures and an HD wide screen TV to show historic photos throughout the drive as we passed the same landmarks in real time. The nearly hour long tour was super informative, enlightening, educational, and fun for us trolley goers age 8 to 80! This was very much a live tour, not recorded. Our trolley conductor John, was probably the best guide we have ever encountered! His enthusiasm, excitement, humor, knowledge and complete love for his historically exceptional city was so informative and fun that I am motivated to invest my time and write this review! I totally recommend Minneapolis Trolley Tours.

Unbelievably Informative, Enlightening & Entertaining Tour!! - Wow! We are two urban planners from Austin Texas who love exploring new cities. This scenic trolley tour was the best introduction to Minneapolis that we could have hoped for. Our tour guide is amazingly knowledgeable about all the historic events and forces that made Minneapolis what it is today, and he shared that knowledge with incredible wit and humor. Could not have been better; now we understand why this tour has so many 5-Star reviews. Absolutely fantastic!!

Narrated Scenic Tour - This tour was excellent. We (couple and grown daughter from South suburbs) really enjoyed it. It took us to places we hadn't seen before and gave new meaning to places we often pass. Very good narration of history of Minneapolis with lots of fun stories of the various sites around the city. We've lived in the area for 32 years and often get into the city, but we learned lots of new things. The narration was enhanced by photos of how places used to look. We liked the descriptions of how the architecture changed over the years and how the industries and the parks shaped the city. We loved the enthusiasm of our narrator and the incites added by the bus driver.

This was awesome! - I was not sure what to expect on this tour, but I loved it! I had previously lived and worked in Minneapolis - and I learned so much about the city! It was great!

Book your seat on this trolley - Comprehensive tour across the best of Minneapolis. A highpoint of our visit to MN. My wife and 17 year old son both loved it.

A must-see tour, very entertaining. - This was the perfect tour for our first time to Minneapolis. We really enjoyed seeing all the different parts of the city and learning the history that corresponded as well. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again next time we come to Minneapolis.

Enthusiastic Host - The best part about this experience was our driver/host. He made it seem like it was the first time he had seen all of these lights and displays that he was sharing with us. Excitement and enthusiasm was contagious.

Best Tour Ever - This was the most informative tour I have ever been on. We are wanting to move to MN and this tour made us want to move even more. These fellas are professional and make sure to show you all of the city while giving you very detailed history. A very immersive experience.

Awesome Lights Trolley Ride - The gift shop has lots of snacks and drinks that are able to be enjoyed in the shop and trolley. Dress warm, my grandmother was cold next to the window. The views were great and the host kept us entertained for the evening!
