Amazing experience - Our cooking class with Felipe was fantastic. He picked us up on time and then we drove to a local market. Felipe told us so many interesting things about the different fruits, vegetables and spices that you can find at the market. And he not only knows a lot about food, but also about Lima, Cusco and the history of Peru. After the market, we went to the cooking studio and had a great two and a half hours with delicious food, good drinks and nice conversations. We definitely recommend booking a cooking class with Felipe and his colleagues. He is such a nice and cool guy and you certainly won't regret it. It's also a great way to learn more about Peruvian cuisine and, of course, it's simply great fun :)

An amazing day! - Filipe was an amazing guide through the market. His depth of knowledge was truly impressive. Nindi, our chef, was not only a wonderful cook but conveyed her passion for the local cuisines. They both made us feel welcome and encouraged our questions and participation. I highly recommend this experience and would encourage anyone seeking a local market and cooking tour/experience to seek out Felipe and Nindi specifically. They made the day very special for us.

The best market tour and cooking class in Lima!! - This tour was outstanding. We were a bit concerned bc of the lack of reviews but went ahead with booking. Felipe and Danilo picked us up at our hotel on time and took us to Mercado 1, where Felipe showed us the bounty of fruits, vegetables and meats that are from Peru. Felipe’s english is terrific and his pride in his country is infectious. After the tour we went back to Chef Nindi’s apartment where we learned how to make a few salsa’s, ceviche and a stir fry. The experience was amazing and delicious (we didn’t eat dinner that night bc there was so much food!). The apartment is quite close to two artisan markets and not far from Kennedy Square. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop off but we chose to walk back to our hotel - safe area, nice walk!

Fun, energetic and tasty! - A great experience! We had a tour of the local market where Felipe told us about specific fruits and vegetables, how they are prepared and their national value. He was very attentive to our interests and accommodating of our questions. Nindy had started the prep work in the kitchen, and she put us to work slicing and preparing. We dined and laughed together as Nindy shared cooking tips and techniques. Two young energetic people sharing their love of cooking and Peru. A wonderful experience! Would do it again!

Great food afternoon! - Felipe was a wonderful guide, giving us historical and cultural information about Peruvian agriculture and eating as we walked through the market and when preparing foods at the chef’s home. Mindi, our chef, put us to work, which was great, in her charming apartment and her dishes were delicious. Corn snacks, Ceviche, a wide variety of fruits, and a yummy fish dish were on the menu. Felipe and Mindi were delightful and so enthusiastic about their country and food. We recommend them highly!
