- Simana View Point - This is located at the Indo-Nepal border, where the road is part of India, but the viewing area is in Nepal. Visitors can freely walk across to enjoy the views. On a clear day, one can see Maneybhanjan below and the stunning mountains. The narrow winding road leading to Sandakphu on the opposite side of the valley and the magnificent Kanchenjunga snow peaks are also visible. At Simana, there are several small stalls offering tea, snacks, chocolates, and various knick-knacks.
- Pashupatinagar - This remarkable market is about a 1km walk from the border. Visitors can either walk or take a Nepal taxi at the border to reach the main market. The market is filled with imported electronic gadgets, jackets, perfumes, cosmetics, accessories, and clothing.
- Gopal Dhara Tea Garden - A narrow winding downhill road descends several thousand feet to a valley where beautiful landscapes of tea gardens and small round hillock formations with pine trees on top create a picture-perfect site where Gopaldhara Tea Estate is located. Visitors can walk down the aisle through the tea gardens to reach a viewpoint offering a wonderful view of the gardens all around.
- Mirik - This charming town is located 12kms further from Pashupati Market at an average altitude of 5,000ft. Visitors can relax by the lake’s bank and enjoy sailing, mostly in paddle boats. Cross over the arched footbridge to the other side (western bank) of the lake, turn left, and take the path through the dhupi woodlot to enjoy nature. Nearby, there is a temple in the forest (known as Devi Sthan). Pony rides are also available around the lake and are quite popular with both children and adults.

Wonderful journey to Mirik Lake with Green Escape. - This astonishing place is definitely worth seeing at least once in your lifetime. Of all the destinations we have seen, Mirik is certainly one of the most picturesque. Our trip was both meaningful and delightful, as the travel company we chose, Green Escape Tours and Travels, organized everything exceptionally. One day is all you need to see all the renowned attractions in Darjeeling. - Our trip to Darjeeling to Mirik Lake was really enjoyable. Great day out - We had a great day out going to Mirik. We were joined by a guide and stopped a numerous places along the way to see the sights and find out about each places. We particularly loved visiting the monastery. If you’re visiting Darjeeling I recommend contacting the team regarding your stay. They were really helpful making suggestions about what to do, both in Darjeeling town and surrounding areas!
