Great Safari - Great safari, despite the weather. We saw many elephants, include a baby. And so close to some. Also saw macaques, various eagles and buffalo, as well as a huge croc. And so so many peafowl. Guide/driver was great, spoke great English, and warned us off from the "extra" guide that tried to join us at the entrance to the park, who claimed to be free, but would have asked for a hefty tip, and would not have added anything that the driver did not already provide. Car to and from hotel was comfy, and stopped as needed.

Beautiful Safari - Our trip to Udawalawe national park was amazing. Everything was super organized, we didn't have to worry about anything and we felt safe the whole time. Our safari guide Chamara was really nice and he answered all our questions with a smile. His knowledge was amazing. We also got to see so many elephants and other beautiful animals. We highly recommend doing this trip.

Pleasant visit - three hours was completely enough in the park. You should let driver know you want to eat before going to park because there’s no restaurant nearby. The communication was pretty good with the company also the Safari driver was very nice. Do not hesitate to book the tour.

Great trip! Udawalawe is a must visit - It was a great trip! We saw many elephants, peacocks, jackals and birds. In our case, one elephant walked past our jeep and it was huge! While going back, we saw the sunset and it was beautiful too. The road that leads to the National Park is the best - it has water on one side and a forest on the other.

Another great safari - It was poring with rain when we entered the park and didn’t really expect to see much wildlife, but fortunately within 5 minutes it stopped and out it came. The first small herd of elephants were happily munching away very close to the road, quite oblivious to us snapping away. Next we saw a Mongoose who posed just long enough for me to take a photo. After a perfect opportunity to snap a rather soggy Kingfisher, there was the usual posing Peacocks. Next another herd of elephants with a month old baby. We followed a single male elephant who I don’t think was too happy to see us so we rapidly continued to a lake and where we were greeted with the sight of a herd of Water Buffalo with a few very young ones. There were numerous water birds and the ever present Crocs. I’ve seen much larger Crocodiles in other national parks in Sri Lanka but I managed to snap four just in one photo. What we didn’t expect to see was a Jungle/Reed/Swamp Cat. Wow, what a lovely surprise. It was almost hidden in the bushes but we still managed a few photos and then it disappeared. On our way out of the park, we saw a Python crossing the road. Again something else we didn’t expect. This was the fourth national park we’d visited in Sri Lanka and yet again we weren’t disappointed.

Amazing day - Amazing day at the park watching the many elephants in their natural habitat. Was amazed at the amount we saw. The guide new exactly where to take us and had eagle eyes for spotting the wildlife. Very friendly staff and would recommend this tour to anyone thinking of going.

Uduwawale Nationalpark - We saw a lot of animals, water oxes and birds. The whole team was very nice and friendly, but the guide could have told a bit more about the animals. All in all it was a nice experience!

Shop around for guides while in Sri Lanka before you book! - Depends what you want out of the Safari. You are seeing wildlife, so of course spotting specific animals aren’t always guaranteed. I guess the reason I’m giving this a 3/5 is because we paid about $80 per person which included: park entrance, jeep, private guide, breakfast, and search from 5:30am-12pm. To me, $80 wasn’t worth it but of course that is my own opinion. We met another couple who paid $45 for the exact same thing except from 530-1030 and it wasn’t private. I would recommend to shop around before purchasing online or through your hotel, there are better prices for the same experience.
